BLACK was a truly special game, and I'm certain that game rubbed off on what Battlefield later became. The levels in black were unique in that they took so long to complete and had extremely elaborate, varied locales as you went on.
And that soundtrack!
Nope. the gameplay in Destiny alone is a masterclass in design. And we're not even talking about visuals, variety of activities, community, etc.
It's common sense, really.
Just like those random kids that will say "Driveclub is a better game than Forza."
Yeah; you're allowed to have that opinion, but generally speaking, that's just not a true statement. It's a reach at best.
Am I the only one that thought Future Soldier was damn near incredible? Fantastic open, sandbox like levels that ran almost an hour at times, ahead of it's time gameplay with the predictive cover system and advanced mobility, and one of the finest co-op experiences of last generation. Not to mention the graphics at the time were incredible.
The standard horde mode was also one of the best. Interesting weapons, intense encounters.
This game was MGSV before...
Show me the advertisements and coverage that promised a Mass Effect-like experience. I'll wait.
Show me the adverisemts and coverage that promised a Mass Effect-like experience. I'll wait.
That's your fault for expecting Mass Effect.
It's their own fault for having such lofty expectations. People act like Bungie said it was an open world RPG when they never once hyped it as such.
Bioshock 2 MP was really good.. Nobody gave it a chance but it had a ton of personality, great maps and solid mechanics. There's still a hardcore following on 360 and my uncle has played it for years. I really hope they have it in this remaster.
If you had such faith in the product and love it as much as your comment describes, you'd stick with it by getting the newest content amd moving forward with your experience. I don't feel sympathetic for you in the slightest. You're a casual fan that drops in once every couple weeks for a Nightfall and now wants to cry about being left behind.
Yeah, you spent $60... Last year.
XBL Skull makes me sick to my stomach. He's that exact kid in 2008 that never played an MGS game, nor owned a PS3, but would troll the Youtube comment section with non-fan dribble in his study skills class during his early years in High School.
His brain never matured, but his body did. Here we are today in the year 2015 - Metal Gear is Far Cry, and he gets to celbrate the fact that he ruined one of my favorite franchises over console exclusivity.
Are yo...
I felt like it was almost a hidden messaging conveying to the crazies like me "hey, I know this game is awesome, but don't roll out of bed after passing out at 4 in the morning from your last session and keep playing. Go take a shower and come back."
Any gamers like myself get these big releases and accumulate a bit of grease after long sessions. Those showering parts actually made me say "hey, it's 1pm... I better shower too, lol."
He was also great on OZ.
Think about this: Open world Mario game with Mario Kart's driving mechanics to get around that world andMario Party like activities peppered througout. You can even throw in lightly designed Mario Golf and Tennis.
Grand Theft Mario, if you will. This is probably something where Nintendo actually sits back, looks at the market, acquires next gen technology that can push the envelope of their vision, and sits down and makes the ultimate Mario open world for 5 years.
...
The one in Oblivion where you sleep on a boat hotel in the ship harbor of the Imperial City and randomly wake up in the middle of the ocean during a pirate siege. Often times Elder Schrolls comes to mind when thinking of zany, unique quests.
Here's a hidden tip that the game never tells you and nobody knows - if you hit jump RIGHT before landing almost any drop, Geralt will roll into the fall and it will negate pretty much all of that fall damage. Once you master that, it's almost a non-issues.
Don't be that "backlog," guy. Just jump into the best open world RPG of all time Forget W2, that ship has sailed.
Anyone remember him in the Xbox version of Soul Calibur 2?
My friends and I have said just about all of these and countless more what-ifs for hours at a time. There's too much.
The future of controllers is where you can use most functions without moving your fingers much at all. Thinking about the flexibility paddles give you in not having to remove your fingers from the analogs, those should be actual buttons located right where your middle fingers rest on the grips.
BLACK, Bioshock, Resistance: Fall of Man, Rainbow Six Vegas, Killzone 2, Halo 4.
Resistance was my favorite. Nearly a 20 hour campaign with massive levels, interesting art style and downright creepy atmosphere at times.
