Hyperbolic AF
If this game does bomb, it will be the saddest story in gaming. I'd hate to have my heartbroken in hopes of getting a true Shadow follow-up in terms of delivering that same sense of awe.
The Order wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was ok, and it's not wrong to expect more from RaD. I refuse to believe that 1886 is indicative of what they're capable of. They're better than this game, I'm sorry.
Can we be real with ourselves for once? Jesus.
I love him, though, such a likeable guy, haha. Underneath all of his television showmanship, he is extremely knowledgeable of the industry and is probably one the biggest secret holders when it comes to unbelievable insoder information that some people will never know.
His Frien.D.A game is strong. We're talking about one of the only guys who most likely knows all about the Half-Life 3 development cycle.
Mod support in an only online game, do you hear yourself? Split-screen???!! It's 60 frames... And why would you want to shoot bots. That's boring as shit unless you're playing with a 5 year old that doesn't know anything. Lan support can be added in an update.
Anything else?
The "how long would the servers stay on?" argument is hella weak as well.
1. You can log in thousands of hours before that ever happens making it worth your money 50 times over.
2. By the time servers could come remotely close to getting shutdown (if that were to even happen), you're most likely done with it anyways.
Just admit what we all know about you single player guys - you get crushed in PVP and complain about MP only games be...
Well, you're just not as hardcore into online shooters as enthusiasts of the genre would be. You fly through single player game. That's cool.
But there are others who can dote on a single game for nearly a thousand hours.
So Overwatch is feces in a box?
Man this site is dumb.
Yeah, an endlessly replayable, heavily supported game polished to a sheen in which all future DLC will be free is totally overpriced, man.
But a single player game with literally only 8 hours of gameplay, TOTALLY worth $60!
Man, I'm SO TIRED of these "no campaign, no buy," people. So hypocritical.
If you want a story to be told to you, read a book, watch a movie, or play a game like Uncharted.
This ment...
You just tried to lump Overwatch in with a few mediocre, tacked on MP modes.
Just. No.
Because people like incredibly smooth, balanced, refreshing, solid controlling multiplayer games with a wide variety of maps and classes handled by an industry leading developer?
Dude, you're killing my buzz. We get it, you don't understand the hype blah-blah-blah. Clearly there IS something special here and you just can't see it, that's all.
There goes the "totally different games," argument. "Shooters," in general still share the same market and fight over more or less the same playerbase. People invested in any one shooter are just as many people not invested in another.
People that play Battlefield don't JUST play Battlefield, same can be said for any other shooter. There's too many. Point being, out of 5 shooters this holiday season, many will just choose two.
...
Between BF1 and CoD launching this year beside Gears 4 and a Destiny expansion, EA would be wise to give TF2 some breathing space in Q1 2017.
This is what I was saying all along. VR propels this game to being anywhere near impressive. As far as base visuals go, it's mediocre.
But with a VR headset on, will indeed be incredible. This is a VR game through and through.
Using paddles to get in cover and jump makes the game so much smoother and less detatched. Mapping shoot on R1 makes the experience much better as well.
Controls are such a huge deal in gaming and their importance is often understated. I have this prototype controller in my head where every single finger rests on a button and just want it to be real.
Do you notice any latency? I use Scuf 4PS, but over time the analogues have gotten destroyed and the general finish is super oily and cashed out now within 6 months of play. Also, it lags a lot when not plugged in. Any similar issues?
And with next-gen graphics would be too much. Imagine Last of Us-like Manhunt. Sheesh.
I'm failing to understand your angle, as my comment is neautral and nothing more than being objectionally observant. If you understood the rendering required for a VR game, you'd understand that it is impressive. But you're probably an arm-chair game developer that believes VR finctionality can be easily shoe-horned into Uncharted 4.
Anything with above average visual fidelity is hard to pull of with VR, especially given the specs of PS4.
This is one game that can be delayed for another year and I wouldn't mind at all.
