According to Gamespot 360 has 37 games rated 8.5 or over, whereas PS3 only has 14.
That more than 3 TIMES as many games!!
360:
Gears of War 9.6
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 9.6
The Orange Box 9.5
Halo 3 9.5
Forza Motorsport 2 9.2
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 9.2
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 9.1
Assassin's Creed 9.0
...
Toshiba made DVD.
Sony made Betamax, Minidisc and UMD.
Im going to place my bets on the only one here who has actually had a successful format.
TOSHIBA.
At the end of the day, it only has a variation of a DX9 7900GTX card in it, and is extremely limited by its memory (256VRAM and 256Mb system RAM, of which the OS uses 96Mb).
The Cell processor is good for nothing more than processing HD video, its Blu-ray player slow and only good for movies.
It will never achieve this "potential" that everyone wants it to because lets face it, its not a console and it is not a PC, it is merely a Blu-ray player with a P...
LOL @ GT Prologue.
All you Sony fanboys waiting for this legendary 1080p game that runs at 60fps have just been PWNED!
Too bad.
The fur in the PS3 version looks like sh1t.
Just my 2 cents.
PS3Fanboy.com...?
Why has this even been posted?
How about we stop the fanboy arguing over what console is best, and just post ACTUAL news about games?
After all, is that not what this site is supposed to be about?
Meh, your dreaming sunshine.
360 launching earlier than PS3 was a great move, don't blame Microsoft for Sony not putting 4 Cell processors into PS3, thats their own doing.
The whole Cell program cost Sony too much money, hence why they sold it to Toshiba.
As for the built in HD-DVD player 360, i think its a good idea as long as it isn't more expensive than the PS3.
how important is the video ram?
Do you require more the higher the resolution you play?
I have an 8800gts 320mb but will be playing at 1280X720p.
Most HDTVs have a VGA/PC input. Also I know some older TVs dont, but most new 1080p TVs do indeed accept 1080p via component, otherwise there wouldn't be much point eh?
160mb of ram? ...too bad
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - Quality (All encoded using high quality compression)
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - Lineup (Matrix Tilogy, Heroes, Transformers etc.)
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - Capacity (51Gb)
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - Price (MUCH cheaper)
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - Features (PIP, Internet enabled features)
HD-DVD > Blu-ray - PERIOD!!
Sony should just stick to making TV's, they suck at making new formats.
Where exactly does it say that its a PS3 exclusive?
Why is this game even being compared to Gears of War!?
It seems all new PS3 shooters get compared to Gears of War, which is unfair for them because if people are expecting Gears of War standards for every forthcoming PS3 shooter, they will be sadly disappointed.
Like they were with Resistance.
How is this game in any way like gears of war?
Its more like a cross between stranglehold (without the slo-mo, therefore incredibly hard to aim) and tomb raider.
360 will have a better lineup of games next year than ps3, GUARANTEED!
Alan Wake on its own bests all those games on your list.
Too bad for Sony, Bioshock is exactly what they need for their system ie. a decent game.
Im sure as hell glad i have a 360 aswell as a blu-ray player or i'd be well disappointed.
RIP PGR Series.
The lighting is damned impressive in this game, and Bungie gave a good reason for using this resolution.
So i'm fine with that.
Its a great game.
eh Mass Effect looks better than those games.
And i dont see 360 reaching its maximum graphical level this early, there will be better looking games to come.
RE5 for instance?
Well i cant say im totally surprised that this game sucks.
Its just a shame your not allowed to say that or you'll get fired.
How are we supposed to believe reviews if this is the case.
Im gonna cancel my subscription with Gamespot.
PS. His other reviews, Uncharted, R&C and Mass Effect, I agree with him on those scores.
If a reviewer doesnt pick apart a game, then he hasnt done his job right, i want to know whats w...
