Sony numbers really are sucky, even with 3 platforms they're barely ahead of the 360. Good solid numbers for the PC though.

I was using my PS3 NFS pro street for a blu-ray stress test and found it difficult (in comparison to a DVD) to get it to stop working. Even if they are breaking it's most likely they have been intentionally damaged. From my experience a Blu-ray disk is incredibly unlikely to be damaged during normal use.
they've already implemented cross platform play, they're just deciding whether they should keep it in or not.
there is only one person in the world who could truly convey the amount of fail at HHG's disposal.
