Rob Enderle is one of Microsoft's biggest cheerleaders. Now he's a Sony fanboy? Hang on, let me get on my ROFLcopter.
Sorry to disappoint you, Microsoft didn't make the PS3
:)
I wish some game developer could make a game with gameplay as advanced as this, production values as high as Heavy Rain's or those of Uncharted 2, online play in the level of HD consoles, and graphics on the level of PC.
Then again, I wish both Sony and Microsoft just put as much effort into gameplay as Nintendo did (and that Nintendo put as much effort into everything else as other devs do).
It makes your tears even sweeter.
"If, as you guys claim, a big budget and high production values are what make a game AAA then by that definition Too Human and Lair were AAA games. Obviously that isn't the case"
Uh... "Obviously" because you are using the fanboy's definition that is firmly imprinted in your mind. "AAA" is used for bragging rights by fanboys, but it is nothing but a high budget game. If Lair and Too Human were AAA by that definition, then so be it. It's a good reason...
Can't wait to see someone using him as his N4G avatar
"AAA is 90% + scores.
AA is 80% scores
A is 70% scores.
Just because a game is high production does not mean it's AAA, AAA is more of a grading system. "
One of the most retarded attempts at legitimizing fanboyism.
I always thought Quagmire would be a PS3 fanboy considering it's much better suited for watching porn and a better media center overall.
Did the contributor write this? Seems like it XD
Why do they use the words "High Quality" so liberally?
"Games sell more on the 360 "
Bullsh1t. Devil May Cry 4, Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5 sold better on PS3 than on 360. Lost Planet 1 sold more on 360 because it came out a year earlier and was marketed as an exclusive; it was also overhyped so the first 2 million sold like crazy but then reviews came in and mitigated part of the hype. So, in capcom's eyes, it's a myth that games sell less on PS3; they couldn't care less about how Activision does on 360 since they...
They couldn't fit the other hand on the DVD9 :)
What's so infamous about it? It's the best console ever, if anything it's famous, not infamous.
Are these supposed to be the best graphics ever? It doesn't look any better than Alone in the Dark, that's for sure. They criticize PS3 games for being like movies and yet this game has almost no gameplay and the little gameplay it has is basically that of a generic shooter with little or no action, luigi's mansion mechanics, mostly scripted sequences, and unrealistic physics to boot. The game aims to achieve realism but fails miserably when Alan Wake gets hit by a huge metallic object flying...
Shaman, on the papers you quote, you failed to read this:
"The injection and propagation stages are pretty similar in performance on both platforms. And the final LPV rendering stage is much faster on PlayStation 3 because we use half-resolution rendering mode with MSAA remapping trick."
You also missed this:
"This requires either
vertex texture fetches (used for DirectX 9/10, and Xbox 360), or
rendering to vertex buffer (faste...
The game has already failed even before it launched by being inferior. Come on man, are you seriously in denial? Or do you just wanna hate on "droids"? I know you're not an X-tard like the guy above, don't act like one. I will assume that you're just letting the "droids" get the best out of you (don't let them).
Nintendo's majority stockholder (i.e. the owner, the one that calls the shots) hates video games as much as you say Sony used to hate videogames. I do not think Phil Harrison or any other video gaming personalities that worked or still work for Sony hate video games; they love games a lot more than the dipsh1t you give your money to when you buy anything Nintendo related.
Anyway, what is this talk about "deserving" or "not deserving" to enter the video game in...
They're gonna cry when they see that it's only timed exclusive :(
