I am one of those consumers that was captured, or should I say captivated, by Microsofts' entrance into the gaming industry. (lets face it the original Xbox was pretty beast)
Since then I have stayed loyal due to the amounts of money they seem to be willing to pour over things like 'timed exclusives.' (which I've always thought made up for the yearly service fee)

I really didn't like BO-zombies compared to W@W-zombies.
In W@W you could camp in areas/rooms and hold em off until you couldn't any longer.
In BO everyone practically had to keep runnning in circles. The maps were designed to be circular. This made it much harder to play with fewer players, and it made running in circles the only viable option.
Personally I thought 'camping'...
I'd much rather they add co-op play to Skyrim, or a new TES-title
Rather than attempt to make a world full of players.
That will undoubtably result in a typical MMO.
I hope it's like Elder Scrolls previous games, but online.

I think the gaming industry as a whole needs to evolve past thinking sales are more important than quality.
Look at other industry, such as music, and movies.
If sales are more important than quality, that would mean Titanic, Harry Potter, and Toy Story 3 would be some of the best movies of all time. And Justin Beiber, Maria Carey, and The Backstreet Boys would be some of the best artists of all time.

Your usage of "some people" was inclusive to *you,* and since it was in response to something I said that would imply that I was not included - thus grouping me with those who do have their stuff paid by their parents.

The reason the industry keeps selling millions, and millions each year is cause people like a new coat of paint on the games they know and love. (COD doesn't even get that new paint, HA!)

I was really put off my the intial game footage (cause I wasn't aware of it being a downloadable title)
but since then I've really come to term with what its' going to be. (and not for that matter)
I'm curious to know how long "Episode 1" is, hopefully not too short. (cliffhanger ending is to be unavoidable, I suspect)

I think its' going to be a huge hit, or a huge miss.
That being said, from the footage I've seen for far this game is a MUST buy for me.
(I'm usually willing to take the risk, cause I've had my gut prove me right before - in terms of me liking otherwise "misses")
I honestly don't know why they get Greg Miller to review games that go against he, obvious, playstation bias.
Of course, he is going to give a bad score to a game that is in direct competition to inFamous.
Are inFamous and Prototype exactly the same? of course not.
But they are definite each others' competition.
