awesome avatar!
Everyone *really* needs to cut out the masterbating jokes/gabs at Kinect...
Is being masterbating in front of our gaming consoles really something we need to be even joking about liking to do?
Can't wait to get my hands on it.
It reminds me a lot of the 2nd Mech Assualt game, Lone Wolf, where they added pilots.
I do like the "David and Goliath" style gameplay.
Believe it or not, I am. (getting both, take it easy on me)
Heh...... smh
Honestly!?
It's so Microsoft can say to all their advertising constituents, and service providers, that their (always-online) users WILL see their invested-advertising.
Microsoft wants to be able to compare the equally community of Playstation, and say to the service providers (netflix, nfl, EA, ect) that Sony doesn't have a "compariable" community, cause a unknown portion of their units sold are hiddenn (offline), and not connected.
<...
I think what MS i getting at is their "content" (MMO-esk games) is online-content.
And in that sense, yes, other devices with online-content requires connections.
I've heard rumors that the check-in won't require phone tethering - cause that you tether everything through your phone (dash, ads, ect)
Rather the check-in can be completed by having SmartGlass running on a connected-device.
IOW, not tethering, but opening an app.
Exactly. I don't know why Microsoft is letting everyone get out of control, when they should be informing people that to extend your offline play for another 24hrs is as simple, essentially, sending an e-mail from your smartphone.
I've thought of something that Microsoft needs to do:
Allow gamers to verify their game library via SmartGlass on connected-devices.
In other words, let users enable offline-play by having a connected-device running the SmartGlass app.
Microsoft haa said that the "online check" doesn't require very much bandwith, so I believe they should allow smartphones, using SmartGlass app, to verify their game library and continue playi...
I get what he's saying. I couldn't beleive my eyes at the beginning of their conference, when they were spending time talking about how Netflix/RedBox will work.
But, then again, I didn't see the last 10mins at that point
I went and pre-ordered both last night.
The employee at th EB Games (Vanc, Canada) said that they were only give 8 Xbox One pre-orders, then 2 more (gone in minutes), then a few more (also gone instantly - which I was one) -- around 14 in total.
While they are taking unlimited PS4 pre-orders - which they have gotten tons of.
Dead Rising 3 was definitely the highlight for me.
I'm scekptical about Ryse still, though I will watch it closely.
Titanfall looks epic! Quantum Break was also very interesting.
Also looking toward to more details regarding Black Tusk. (who know - that game they showed literally nothing of ;P)
I bet they thanked them for the boat loads of cash.
(you can play it on PC)
I couldn't disagree more. But hey, we all have our taste - to each thier own. (I didn't click disagree btw)
If it goes up by 2, it means someone else also clicked it recently.
History is simply repeating itself
Microsoft is attempting to bring bold changes to the industry (against the PR) - just like they did when they shipped the original Xbox with an Ethernet port - something people criticized.
Sony is pulling a 1995, and trying under cut their competitor, MS, like they did Sega.
Note that those moves were what propelled those companies far. They both are trying to learn from this generation, and are trying to go...
You starting to sound like a MS fan there
:p
The always connected still remains true.
But the used-game policies are pretty similar now.
1st. whether games have used-restrictions are up to publishers on both systesm.

Xbox One: Friend wants to play Destiny. I transfer my licence to him, he has full access to game. My friend now owes me.

I totally understand what you're saying, but part of me still wants to side with the "bigger dog" so to speak.
MS's anti-consumer policy is evidence of their immense arrogance. But, there is a (conservative) side in me that says it's the writing on the wall that they have what it takes to back it up.
It's kinda like a bully in the school-yard, everyone wants him to be gone, but no one actually has the guts to find out whether or ...
