Ohmygod yes, PC! Now I'm hyped!
Another crowdfounded console?
I smell another Ouya here.
The competition this year is too big from Nintendo. HZD is an amazing game, but BOTW and Mario Odyssey is just too tough to beat. It's an instant classic. Still, being in the nominations alone is awesome though.
Yes, it is pretty equivalent to 1060 or RX 480. But PC has better processors to maintain performance, even the cheapest Ryzen or Skylake dual-core runs a lot better than ancient 8 core Jaguar.
Both are totally different game. Not even comparable.
One is a successful GTA clone with more action and deeper combat. The other one is a brawler-story driven game with multiple random events like Shenmue. Both games doesn't even share any similarities other than the Asian gangster theme.
"Most of those are also good games, but none of them have a lot of replay value."
None of them? Wow. That's a strong statement. Well, let me break it down to you then.
Persona 5 has too many activities and events to experience in one single playthrough.
Bloodborne has more challenging and rewarding NG+ if you like challenges.
In Nioh, you have to play around 60-80 hours to beat the main game, add another 50+ hour...
I honestly believe that Scalebound was gonig to be Xbox only ticket to win this gen. Too bad they sacrificed exclusives in favor of more powerful hardware. Scalebound could've easily been the "Nier Automata of Xbox" or even better.
Xbox upcoming exclusives are looking very generic and uninteresting that a single Yakuza game on PS4 is way more interesting and has more content than all of them.
Why people only mention Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War or HZD when talk about PS4 exclusives? Yes, they are linear games that won't last very long, but still very memorable masterpiece. Just look at this year Game Award nominations.
Anyway, let me put some PS4 exclusives here that will last you 50+ hours or even 100+ that maybe you can try.
Bloodborne
Persona 5
Yakuza0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2
Nier Automata
Chill out, microtransactions didn't hurt GTA V singleplayer at all, or dare I say even GTA Online. I'm pretty sure Rockstar is not that stupid to ruin the singleplayer experience in RDR 2, especially after recent events. Most of the microtransactions are most likely only implemented on the RDR Online.
Coming only from Phil's tweet, I'd say take it with a grain of salt. Here's one, a tweet from Phil about JRPG on Xbox from 2014. And up until today, we only see only a one or two JRPG on X (That is if you count FFXV as one) https://twitter.com/xboxp3/...
Good for them. Really hoping they will revive Samurai Spirits.
"Base game content"
Hahahahaha no.
True 4K? More like False 4K. lol
Not surprised. GTA V also has a microtransactions, but Rockstar handled them pretty well. I can enjoy GTA Online for 200+ hours without even purchasing anything.
I guess enjoy The Beast while it still relevant. I'd say until early next year, when Nintendo Switch and PS4 AAA exclusives are dropping. And then with new technology GPU coming for PC next year, 4K will be a walk in the park for midrange cards. Currently GTX1060 or RX 580 are a decent native 4k cards, if you're okay with less than 60fps.
Can't wait for Crowbcat video about Xbox one X.
Props to EA for maintaining their title as the Worst Company in America.
He's been saying this since 2014. He even said will bring more JRPGs to Xbox, which we haven't seen at all, except FF XV. Hopefully this time he means it.
This is why Xbox needs exclusives to utilize the full power of X. Can't always rely on third parties for optimization right?
No doubt Bioware will make the game good, but EA will ruin it.
