health packs add so much to a shooter,it's one of the reasons Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 are so brilliant.
Yes the existing consoles are more than powerful enough to last a lot longer; however,
1. people like to buy new tech/stuff
2. Ninty/Sony/Micro like money
3. it works too well for the consumers and core gamers to develop for existing consoles ergo, Activision, Ubisoft, and EA will want new and creative ways to screw over gamers.

This game is starting to smell slightly. PR people are somewhat dismissive at the best of times, when they are openly rude, they're probably hiding something.
Interesting piece, this event clearly had a lot going on. I've heard a fair amount of buzz for War for Cybertron so I'm not surprised it was there for hands on.
It's hilarious when you think that whether your thing is Zelda, GTA, Metroid, Fallout, even Uncharted or a handful of other franchises, we're all just playing different games whose genesis began with the original Zelda adventure games.
btw I've been playing nothing but Red Dead Redemption and it's just brilliant.
