Yup. And while that is the future I won't be throwing money their way
Yeah, there's nothing adorable about an all digital future for games.
It is what it is, but it isn't what it should be
I always think that when devs say they design a game around 30fps it almost sounds like a bit of a cop out. Surely 60fps should absolutely be the target these days. It's 2023, not 2007. Just sounds like they don't want to spend the time to get it running at 60, even if that meant a lower resolution.
Might buy it. Will see. It's taken so long that I've lost a little faith in this project tbh.
Yup. BG3
Makes no difference to me as I prefer to own my games, and not just rent through my subscription, so if I want a game I'll buy it whether it's on Plus or not.
@northpaws
OK fine, I guess I'll just change my taste in games then shall I?
Couldn't agree more.
Got my copy pre ordered. Maybe I'll be done with BG3 by then. Maybe 😂
Oh, and I hope they fix the framerate stutter. The TGS demo looked great but it seemed a bit unstable. Hopefully we'll see a stable 60fps performance mode, unlike FFXVI.
Nice. Looking forward to opening mine on Christmas day 👍
Only one game there interests me - FF7. I don't care for online games so Foam Stars and Hell Divers 2 don't interest me. I hope this isn't a trend that's going to continue - more and more GaaS and less actual single player experiences. But it definitely seems that's the way we're headed unfortunately.
That's by default though because Sony hasn't even announced their 2024 lineup yet. I'm sure Sony will deliver the goods as always, but it definitely is frustrating with the lack of information. Even their showcases and state of plays have been pretty lacklustre on the whole.
That'll do me. My average session is between 1-2 hours so at least I'll get a few hours before it needs recharging.
Phone: yes, a Galaxy S23 Ultra. I don't use it for games
Laptop: yes, I don't game on it
Tablet: no. I have no use for a tablet since I have a phone, a laptop and a steam deck
Interested to know what any of that has to do with buying dedicated console for GP.
Keep the realism coming I say, but don't lose the impact in the process.
I'm very tempted to buy a Series S, solely for GP.
Only Nintendo can get away with charging £60 for a game that looks like it was developed for mobile phones.
Yes! By the end of Forbidden West I couldn't stand Aloy. It was just never ending sighing and sarcasm from her, and she seemed to have a problem with pretty much everyone she came across. Great game let down by a thoroughly unlikeable character.
They can't "force" anyone into anything - gaming is a pastime, not a necessity.
The day the industry takes away my choice to buy a physical product is the day I choose to stop gaming - at least on modern systems.
