actually i still think mario is something people still think about gaming mascot (maybe w/ the exception of N4G). However, sack boy can be anyone or anything, he does loose his identity in the process in that sense. People can turn him into kratos, mario, master chief, etc........Sack boy is more like a poser/imposter really than being a mascot.

That would be a problem. I see too often that they use Sony numbers at the end of the fiscal year, but they will compare it to the numbers that other used back in 2010. How do you compare how things are going concurrently without any update from all companies?

It is true that certain region prefer certain games, and some regions have more opportunity for business growth. However, eliminating the core which make them unique, isn't a good idea in the long run. What happen when everyone just end up playing the same type of games?
I think making a game region free might be better, but of course, there will always be the language barrier issue.

actually i think you are right, apple is the only one so far seem to have some success, although china did come out with similar product.
yeah i was hesitate to get it due to the review. But i just went and buy it anyways, and everyone were just having a blast with it. It is really fun.

This is seriously what i heard most of the time when some one mention the move: people respond to it like this: you mean the wii like controllers? And i kinda agree with you and also what i said in the beginning. It needs to separate it self from the wii mote to create some sort of interest or hype. If it is selling the same thing (most people wouldn't notice the differences between the two), plus people have to buy a more expensive consoles, i just don't see it doing that well.
