not exactly. If graphic really appeal to the masses, you wouldn't see handheld or mobile gaming proliferate at such an alarming rate.
Game is about FUN (gameplay/content/story/intere sting ideas) and that has nothing to do with graphics.
you guys keep forgetting the differences between technical and art direction. Graphic award aren't based on Technical aspect, if it is, BF3 on PC should have won the award.
Funny, they didn't include them in graphic award and Crysis 2 didn't even get nominated.

Simpler ones:
1. Fable 2 or 3
- it looks like a lot (tones of places to explore, tones of hidden secrets, lots of things to do) but a very simplified RPG. Don't take it too seriously, play casually and i think you might enjoy it quite a bit. Very unique RPG out there.
2. Jade Empire, Knight of the Old Republic (old xbox games that you can still play on x360).
3. Kingdom under fire: circle of doom

I heard it gonna have around 4 hrs of movies/cut scenes of some sort. Maybe they want a better quality cutscene play back than submitting to using that crappy video compression software, like Epic used for Gear of War 3 or SE with FF13.

Yeah i give you that UC story is much better than Gears (especially Gears 2 where some of the dialogues were plain stupid), but to me gears gameplay and MP are just better, and more personnel. It is probably one of the best MP out right now no less.
Any gears veteran also know that the cover system isn't just for cover; if you play it right, it actually better as an offensive maneuver than for defense.

This game is really good so far. The dialogues are very solid, and it has great characters. So far i love all of them. It is a shame that it isn't on ps3. CDprojekt is one of the few developers that deserve your money. Wish many people could play this game.

It goes way back even before 1999. Try and play Quest For Glory release in 1989.
Gear 1 = fresh and interesting
Gear 2 = best campaign (lots of variety)
Gear 3 = Best MP
He tends to make the experience more genuine by making them very subtle (if you play the hell out of Fable 2, and in the way that Peter suggested, you would know what i mean).
The problem is that, people would just gloss over it/didn't get to see it therefore the great ideas/experiences that he mentioned thus are lost.
Particularly the NPC interaction. There were quite a bit of WTF moments, in a good way though, and i see what Peter was talking about. ...

I agree with you that MS is pretty arrogant too, and that is why they are late and losing in the mobile/search market against Apple and Google; Although those are entirely different markets.
I think eventually, OS, which is MS strength, might also become obsolete.
