Yep, I was hunting through the comments to see if someone would say this. Agreed, 100%. It's been my top favorite game since it came out.

Also worth noting: while this is by far not news, Square-Enix is bringing Secret of Mana to the iPhone. While I was at E3 2010 and visiting Square-Enix's booth, they were running various trailers... and the haunting title screen music from Mana began to play. It showed the title and opening sequence, all contained within the borders...

Ah, why didn't you specify that it was the Sharp 3D display itself you were referring to?

Reading your in-depth response makes some sense to me, and I can certainly respect your opinion now. I was not aware of the criticisms towards the Sharp displays. If they are indeed of low quality or will not stand the test of time, then that would indeed be quite bad for Nintendo.

However, I do think that asking for a 3D display that works at ALL angles, even off-ax...

The only law pertaining to Ridge Racer is how you say it. You have to become excited, and draw it out a little, like this: RIIIIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAAAAAAACER!!! :D

I know you're just trollin', but how is the 3D feature broken? Assuming you're in the majority of gamers that has both functioning eyes and typically holds a portable game system in front of you, the 3D effect works surprisingly well, and even in slightly off-axis angles (but don't tilt it too far, of course). The 3D slider is there for a reason: for those that cannot or do not wish to view a game in 3D, it can be reduced or eliminated alltogether.

Yes, I was ...

Haha, to get a discussion going, I suppose. I'm genuinely rather pumped up over the 3DS. The DSi put me to sleep, it didn't really bring anything new to the table. And the extra large version? No dice.

While I am a bit reserved about another product to join the big "3D hysteria", Nintendo seems to be doing it right by having the screen that doesn't need glasses. It's not very invasive at all, nor did I get a headache (even with the 3D effect maxed ou...

I was lucky enough to try the Onza during E3, and it certainly was a good start, but the D-pad was still a bit "mushy" in their prototype model.

I love Razer products, but for me to bit, it's going to have to have a fantastic D-pad. I'm already very satisfied with my stock Microsoft 360 controller, with the exception of it's D-pad (and the "transforming" one just doesn't do it for me).

Granted, I'll say that again, &qu...

I may not stand in line to get one opening day, but I'll be trying to get one as early as possible. I am really eager to try using the 3D camera and the AR cards in my own house.

I'll have to check this out. If not for me, at least to see if it's something my mom would enjoy. (probably, she would)

This will certainly help streamline keeping my rig up to date. I'm generally poor at keeping all my drivers up to date since it's a bit of a hassle. I'm loving this idea.

A fantastic read. Taking a more psychological look at gaming and the whole punishment/reward system that goes into game design was very thought-provoking. Awesome job.

I'm actually intrigued by the ship sim because I've always wondered what it would be like to pilot one of those fancy yachts or a giant billion-dollar cruse ship.

I've seen rom hacks before, but nothing nearly as creative as this in a long time. The only other one that's really piqued my interest is a Earthbound rom hack that changes the story into a fully-fledged mini-RPG. Still need to play that.

I hadn't either till I read about them on Icrontic. While a slightly newer face to the PC case market, they really do make pretty decent cases. Between Antec, NZXT, and maybe Thermaltake, those are the cases I would personally look at when building my next gaming rig.

I'm actually glad it was announced to be what it was. Better than some "standby" goodbye letter or not knowing at all what happened.

And yes, I'm thrilled that NZXT is still around. It's likely, due to what I've heard in the Icrontic community, that my next case will be NZXT case.

Though pardon me if I ever pronounce them as "NEXT", as the "Z" in their name always screws with my brain.

GOOOOOOOD. That certainly ups my respect for Blizzard, if only just a tiny shard. I need to repeat why this was an issue, as it's been driven to the ground and beyond by now. So in short: excellent, Smithers... *rubs hands together*

You make some very good points here. As both a console and PC gamer, I agree that they both have a sort of symbiosis. While PC gamers can get results beyond what is offered by consoles (you get what you pay for, although this can get real expensive, real fast), the consoles offer a fairly standardized experience for the same investment (ignoring slight variations, like the different Xbox 360 models that were offered, such as Arcade and Elite). This brings in more gamers and allows AAA-level t...

The main point of something like OnLive is that it gives people on a budget the ability to play highly intensive games with only mediocre hardware. This could be particularly useful for Mac owners and those with laptops without a discrete graphics solution that would otherwise compromise its ability to do any serious gaming.

Right now it may be a bit of a niche solution, but it certainly has its merits. Even though I too personally would rather have a powerful gaming rig (and...

I would actually be a little surprised if the next-gen consoles will have cloud features, or at least not right off the bat. They may add them later, kind of like how Microsoft and Sony are adding Kinect and Move. Heck, I could see it as possible as the 360 and PS3 being able to tap into it, as both have broadband access, 1080p capabilities, and the ability to be updated.

It was found that OnLive actually has surprisingly acceptable levels of lag, around 150ms. You can look at the test results cooked up by Digital Foundry here: http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

I've been waiting for something like this. Thank you so much for putting it all together. I'll be following this to reinstall my new ASUS G73JH that I recently picked up.
