Woah... neat! I'll definitely check this out. Nice find!

A new Kirby game went under my radar. Glad to hear it seems to be a decent game so far. While it may not have quite the creative charm that Epic Yarn might have had, it still looks like another fun Kirby games. I tend to like Kirby over the Mario Bros. series, and will be delighted to try this out sometime.

Perhaps unrelated, but it looks like Steam is down as well (including steampowered.com). Interesting.

Some very good, classic picks you have there. I can see each of those working out pretty well (except maybe Pac-man, that would be a very odd character... but probably fun).

Biggest issue of course would be Geno. Square-Enix is extremely tough to work with when it comes to IP... though then again, he has made a few cameo appearances. Who knows what may happen.

I'm a casual fan of the Smash Bros games, and I have to say that these thoughts on what would make a good sequel to the Smash franchise are both thoughtful and meaningful. I actually expected fanboy drivel, but I was pleasantly surprised. Nice take on it, I agree: these would make the game one step bigger than the previous.

Besides these ideas, I would also like a major overhaul of the online matchmaking systems. I won't theorize on what would be fair and balanced, bu...

A very positive observation. Indeed, both the Wii U and the PS Vita have their own spin on it. And as cool as the Vita is (and I do like it), getting both a Vita AND a PS3 sounds awfully expensive if what you want is a display in your lap and in your entertainment center.

Ultimately, Sony and Nintendo have their own "flavors". Gamers can pick and choose what to make in their entertainment cocktails. If all the game consoles were identical, that would be pretty damn ...

A lot of people are pointing out that it will be extremely expensive to buy 3 more of these tablet controllers. But one thing to point out, according to the article I linked, the Wii U only supports ONE of these controllers at a time. Looks like there's a video streaming bottleneck... and if these have 1080p screens, then I can see it as being difficult for any system to have to drive up to 5 1080p displays (TV + 4 controller tablets).

Now, what players 2, 3, and 4 will h...

I too question how well the Wii U will compare to Sony and Microsoft's new consoles in 2-3 years, but that's still a long way out. Saying the console is destined to "fail" seems a little strong.

I think this is the right next step for Nintendo to do. Yes, I full admit that it would have helped Nintendo out quite a bit if it had more power under the hood for the Wii, but think about it. Nintendo thinks long-term. They let the Wii slide a bit for lower prices,...

It's tacky, it's cheesy, and it is all totally excused by the fact that it follows the Animaniacs "Good idea, Bad idea" segment format.

Yeah, after seeing how well it looked on the inside, I kind of did wish it had a side window. I normally don't care for windows and prefer a cleaner look, but having one does give you the advantage of looking inside and spotting issues.

As for cable routing, ahh I fully agree, it could have been a little cleaner. And trust me, I did the best with what I had laying around. Mostly, I couldn't do much about the primary power cord leading from the PSU to the motherboard 2...

Yay for new drivers! I hope they work well and don't introduce bugs (or at least, not TOO many).

This is pretty awesome. The SNES is by far my most favorite console ever. It had the highest gem-to-crap ratio of games, ever.

I'm not overly familiar with other cards, but I know that this card (SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 FleX) supports up to five displays (5 outputs, each gets a display). You can use Eyefinity to use all 5 to have either an extended desktop with 5 discrete display spaces, or a single large surface (SLS).

With 2 GPUs in CrossFireX, you can hook up 10 displays, with each display getting one of the output ports on the cards. However, you can only run Eyefinity on one card to get a SL...

Oh, absolutely. They pretty much bolster ANY game that supports and properly takes advantage of the ultra-panoramic view you get. Hell, playing TF2 with that wide view was pretty damn fun.

But then again, I was still more excited to play flight sims and racing games. Nothing beats that added sense of speed when you can look left and right and see everything blurring past you. :D

I'm glad you asked. I did a check on that and asked someone from AMD about this. He replied by saying that AMD formally says that you need an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter for a 3rd DVI monitor in a tri-monitor setup... but that's mostly to idiot-proof the setup.

While active DisplayPort adapters are best, they're actually more around $26 (so I was a little off), while a passive DP adapter is about $18. I was informed that you can actually use one passive DP a...

The OLED display, of all things, has me the most excited. Overall, I'm happy with what Sony is doing with the NGP. I preferred the classic PSP shape (not so much with the PSPgo), and all the added gadgets I can see being at best fun to have, and at worst just extra gimmicks that can be overlooked. Way to go, Sony. :D

Holy crap, since when did Michigan get something so cool? Nothing cool is supposed to be in Michigan... (/troll)

Actually this sounds awesome. I'll put it down on my places to visit sometime, since I'm right on the Michigan border anyways. =P

Haha, yeah. All it needs are those floating circles/loops/antenna things you always see on those ray guns. Just think of anything from The Jetsons and you get the idea.

In summation: PEW PEW LAZERZ

I'll throw my personal list into the mix. These are the games I get all teary-eyed nostalgic when someone geeks out about classic SNES gaming.

1) Secret of Mana
2) Chrono Trigger
3) Super Mario RPG
4) Earthbound
5) The Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past

Honorable Trio: Super Metroid, Breath of Fire, Super Mario World

Yes, I'm an action and RPG guy, and every now and then I enjoy a good action/RPG. :D
