of course it is not going to have less lag then a laser-mouse, thats impossible if they are connected to the same hardware. Why you might ask, well the amount of lag is proportional to the amount of calculations required to get the imput data. On a laser-mouse its a simple first degree vector calculation, but on the move, well i guess ists some kind of image --> Contrast array --> algorithm to identify the spere(s) --> compare with previous arrays and then you have a movement matris....
Left for dead have never been about visuals, but i agree, the pc vetsion is superior, not because of resolution but because yu can really feel how ot was designed with a mouse in mind.

For my own egoistic reasons i do hope the 3ds gets hacked. Its not that i approve of piracy, but the fact that having all your games on a single memmory card makes the thing som much more portable. Then again im the kind of person that buy ds games only to never open them and download a rom dump insted, and i guess the whole piracy problem stem from the fact that im in a miniscule minority.
i do believe this is the genuine reason for the delay, not fear of competition. One has to remember that MM is a small team and the development budget for the first game was probably only a fraction of a normal "current gen" budget. This theory is further strengthened by the fact that the the first game dropped in price really fast. I have never seen the logic in the "generations" concept. I mean the wii have far more in common with the ps2 than the 360/ps3 tech wise. I mean what defines a generation? If console maker x manufacture a console far more poweful than y and z. We define their consoles x1, y1 and z1. then y and z release y2 and z2 to compete with x1. then after a while x releases x2 while y and z release y3 and z3. Now to the question, are x2 y3 and z3 all part oo the same generation or are y3 and z3...

I must respectfully disagree, compared to aney modern fps the game is utterly horrendous. You have one joystick ffs! That being said i take great pride in being almost 100% immune to nostalgia. ( the exception being bubble bobble on the nes, for this i blame the music).
Then i have missed a mario game. What a shame, wait... No i blame the japanese!
You could certainly do much worse, and in sweden you could get it for 45$ day one.(most new games are like 90$ in a store). Didnt read the article, and wont, cause it has a probability of 99% of being completely redundant.
