You are a small demograph compared to the viable online players. Are you trying to tell me more gamers go for acation/adventure/platformers over FPS and online deathmatches?
Please -- Take your sackboy, he has nothing to do with this topic. You brought him into it baseless.
There is no market or margin for profit in adventure games being multiplayer. There just isn't. It might change someday, but not until people wake up and realize all FPS are the sa...
They need to. Sony needs them to, actually. Killzone has proven to be unprofitible in the grand scheme of things. However good it does or doesn't look is one thing, the real heart of the matter is how well it performs, not on your tv sets, but at retailers.
It's just not a mega blockbuster. You'd expect a game with this much financial backing to gap the 5 million mark but it can't. It could never do those numbers. Not even if the PS3 had a 100 million in...
I'm getting sick of every game having to have or be grounded with Multiplayer. It has to be only profitable and applicable for and to a select few games.
Cod
Halo
WOW
Those games flourish online -- But, by and large, 90% of all games using MP is a waste of time and developmental resources.
I don't play anything online at all hardly. I've never played Uncharted 2 online, because I didn't get it for online. ...
Send an invite, man. I'll be glad to jump online and duke it out. The problems I find are idiots un-calibrating themselves, shoving you away and running the whole time; letting the money drain in the process. People would rather cheat, if you can find someone in the shoddy room set up they've got, than fight you.
I'm not saying Sony or Nintendo aren't at fault for the influx of sequel rushing either. They are just as much, if not more, at fault here. We need more new dynamic IPS. We need more creative and new ways to play. The truth here is, GEOW3 isn't going to play any different than GEOW 1 or 2 did. Same can be said about Uncharted (love the franchise to death, don't get me wrong) -- But it will be no different than part 2 was. It'll just be set in a new location with a fe...
Yeah, sure thing -- Yet, you built and entire set of tool kits around it, no doubt to pawn off to other developers who could't afford to make their own in house engines and make you rich in the process.
**** you Epic Games. This was always going to be a trilogy and then some. Even if it had sold poorly Epic, along with Microsoft's money, would've continued it anyways.
So ****ing what!!!!!
Who gives a damn? I mean, really. It all comes down to what the users like -- Not what a few journalist say. Hell, to be honest, I bet you these review sites don't practice half of what they preach, either. You ever see someone or know someone who tells you they hate something, yet you found them secretly enjoying it? They do this to because they want to be different or break the mold. Rather, they want to appear to break the mold and be differe...
I hate how everyone is so damn sensitive these days. "Oh, it's racist because the guy is mocking a Chinese voice in an absurd way" Well here's a clue, Dick Twist, Kung Fu movies were just as racist and just as absurd.
I bet this is the same idiot who will go and see "Hobo With A Shotgun", enjoyed "Last House On The Left" and "I Spit On Your Grave" -- More alarming than that, he probably even likes the abysmal remakes more than...
I'm doing a huge breakdown of this game on my web-show soon. As a game, it's disappointing to say the least. As a tool for fitness it's surprisingly really good. I'm a fit guy. I workout, done so for many years now -- But around November 8th I dropped free weights from my routine and cardio in favor of testing this game out and putting it through the paces over Hanukkah and the New Year; as I always tend to let myself gain about 10lbs over the two events.

I believe this is possible. It's realistic with the current software they're offering and the software they are going to be releasing over the next year. Their fiscal year ends in March I believe, so 15 million is a good assessment. It'll keep investors happy and that's what is important for Sony. Fanboys and Consumers are one aspect of a deep well within what really matters to Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. They don't play near as big of a role as you'd like to th...
Mario is timeless. The universe, the characters the entire DNA and legacy of Mario is akin to what Disney has accomplished, over a much longer period of time, with Mickey and its cast of characters.
Mario is universal -- Sonic is not. I like Sonic, but it doesn't retain the level of nostalgia or history that Mario has. Sonic 2 is the closest it ever came to holding a candle to SMB's and even then it burnt out rather quickly.
4.6 million in 5 weeks is a disaster, huh? GT5 is anything but a disaster for Sony. Oh, a few idiot, fat, lazy, slobby goober ass reviewers didn't think it broke the mold? Who gives a ****! They don't set the bar in the industry.
I don't know what's more sad
A) That it got banned over 8 complaints
or
B) That the poster looks as if it was made by one of the developers children during arts and crafts time at bible school.
Seriously, that is one of the worst ads I've ever seen. It needed to be banned on principle.
Won't get this until it hits the PSN. There is no way I'm buying Ps2 remakes to stick in my Ps3. Toss them on there storefront already and be done with it. All Ps2 remakes should be made available to DL and it upsets me that ICO&SOTC won't be ready day and date of release.
The PS3 version has some weird lighting effects going on and some washed out textures to contend with. The whole production on the Ps3's end is shoddy at best. Using a new engine or not, I'm sure the engine will preform much, much better on the xbox 360 after playing the Ps3 version last night.
Unspeakable. This is an absolute travesty for Ps3 owners who had touted this game as being "so" much better than the 1+ year old xbox 360 version. Sad, really. B...
Wait, wait, wait -- Didn't Sony sell the Cell Plant to Toshiba at one time? Toshiba had bought this from Sony if I recall. What's going on here?
http://www.gamespot.com/new...
There's my proof.
I don't know about the xbox 360 version, I don't own one, but the Ps3 version of the game looked amazing on my TV. It pops and sets a definitive mood for the genre. I saw a comparison of the two and laughed because my Ps3 version looks nothing like theirs or my tv is calibrated better.
Take your pick.
No way I'll be picking it up at full retail price. It's watered down from the much cheaper, and much better looking PC/xbox 360 version. It has frame rate issues and the screen tearing was unacceptable. I also couldn't believe how choppy it got during the cinematic's.
Bio-Ware should be ashamed of themselves for pawning this one off on consumers/their fanbase.
"just about everyone with an Xbox 360 loved Mass Effect 2. Well, everyone but PS3 owners."
That line makes absolutely no sense. And better yet, it serves no purpose other than to insight hits and controversy.
So, if I owned an xbox 360 and the Ps3 -- Wouldn't that null and void that idiots comment? Gaming puts me off because it's riddled with stupidity from the ones speaking for the industry.
Folklore was actually good, though. It deserved a sequel. Resistance and many others do not. Hell, I'd rather see a Bionic Commando and Conan sequel before a Kz, Resistance, God of War, Infamous and countless other follow up.
Truth is the truth -- The market is over run with the same ol' same. All these games have countless knock off's and iterations and trying to weed through them all is something consumers aren't willing to do and they've spoken with...
