At this rate they will have been outsold, and badly, for 4 years running over the holidays. I don't know where they sit total -- But Sony has themselves to blame if they're not at 45 million to 50 million sold by now. They should have sold, at bare minimum, 13 to 15 million units a year. They've not done that.
Sony has got to drop price. They don't have a choice. Well, actually the price is fine for what you get; people are just stupid. Sony needs to drop price or educate their potential idiot user base better.
Across how many platforms? Big difference, man.
Funny how those guys up there are fighting over GT5 sales -- One says it's 6, the other says 4 and in 5 weeks either one is amazing and only proves it's about 3 months out from beating Halo reach's number.
Stupid numbers game. Oh, did you see LBP sold 4 million units. I see the trend of new ip being 5 million and below, regardless of install base. And that's sad because games like LBP deserve huge, huge returns and fanbases due to the community strength it ...
Heard round the world, huh? Funny, I don't even know who Jonathan Blow is. I've never heard of, or played Braid. And what's more, I most certainly have never heard of this site reporting the so called drama.
Given the cast of characters IGN houses under their roof I'm pretty sure it's a misprint.
The real article was originally written like this --
"I don't like girls who have asses"
And since all girls have some kind of an ass, we can kind of draw the line on the map to the end of the "rainbow" where they all live.
If this dude wanted to show his diversity and strength in the industry he'd ballz up and do something completely different than GEOW or that new FPS junk they're working on.
This guy has a love for Nintendo and the 80's, I get that and I dig that. Give gamers JAZZ again. Do a kids game. Do something tame. Don't go down the pigeon hole and be type casted as "oh, that guy" the guy who makes "those kind of games".
Be dif...
Kevin is very good on screen. He's sharp witted and he's form fitting -- He also writes a great deal of his material which makes him a cut above anyone he works beside. Added to this, he's one helluva drummer. Dude is talented, like him or not.
This is such an amazing event to behold. They got this games controls SPOT ON! I grew up cutting my teeth in arcades in the late 80's to mid 90's --
(I'm an old man, just watch my parody web-show covering screenwriting and those who know nothing about it)
But they nailed the gameplay here. It's fluid and it's sharp. It controls like a damn dream. I love Rampage, King Of Monsters and, to a lesser degree, War of Monsters; which controll...
I don't see where Sony is the bad guy here. I mean, cost are down. It's cheaper to produce. Materials and components are not the same anymore. The cell is nearly 6 years old "tech" and "development" wise to top it off.
Kotaku, painting Sony into a corner as usual.
Every one of the bottom pics looked better than the top pics. ALL OF THEM! So, no, I don't see the improvements. In fact, I see a decline in visual performance.
Loved how they had 2 games per page -- Rack up those web hits, guys! Pretty pathetic. I clicked 2 and was done.
It's only "shite" from the outside looking in. If you haven't given it a go, a real shot, then you really don't know how well adapted the software truly is. "The Fight" is one huge check mark in the win category for anyone who's willing to go the distance with it.
It's like me saying Kinect is "shite" -- I think it is because I haven't gotten a chance to truly play it. It just never wants to work when I try to do so. B...
Yup, he likes the b'guns! The more oiled and sweaty the better too.

No, you're right -- I haven't played an Epic game in some time. But, you know what they say, played one -- Played them all.
The fight &, strangely, The Shoot -- Those are the two best Move games I've played. I love The Fight: lights out. Easily my most played game all year. It just keeps you coming back and back and back. I talked to the developers about what they plan to do with it and they said they were going to add jump-rope and 2 other training modes early next year.
I made a suggestion they add the difficulty setting to all modes and not just sparring too. I also told them to ni...
Given how lackluster this developer is, and how uncreative, I bet the name of it will be "The Fears Of War".
So is this one set for PSN now or not? I heard like 5 different things on it coming and not coming. One was the developers didn't like working on the hardware and another was they hated PS3 all together.
This is what puts me off the industry and gaming. Too much false and misinformation. Be it sales, games coming or exclusivity. All of it has to be so shrouded and secret and it's stupid.
Did this one ever get better than the 1st 2 hours? I think I stopped when you had to fight the SOTC clone boss thing. I never went back to it. It just didn't feel like Vania to me. It, to me, could've been called Lord Of Shadows and nothing else and I'd probably not have had such high expectations for it.
There is so much false information when it comes to numbers I don't believe any of them. It's pointless to even "try" to keep track of them.
But, to entertain the notion of the article, if these numbers were/are even remotley close it only shows one thing and one thing only -- The market is drying up for certain games and demographs.
With nearly 45 million PS3's sold (they say) and nearly 48 million xbox 360's sold (they say) that i...
I think the CEO's over at Sony are the ones keeping Alka-Seltzer rolling off the production line.
