the tech has be taxing on the hardware for a game like L.A. noire it makes sense as interrogations are a major gameplay factor but for a GTA game doesn't really make sense

i hope so i got the fricking YLOD on my old 40gb fixed myself by the fix is only temporary. i've been avoiding playing it and hopeing sony announces a price drop to i can trade in my old one for a new slim that doesn't have the YLOD problem. i really am annoyed by sony for not doing anything about YLOD just like when my PS2 had the DRE problem.

i got a 240 hz TV right now and it does improve the fluidity of a image a bit but i wouldn't say it makes THAT much of a difference. the problems is that most content isn't really created to be displayed at 240Hz so sometimes it looks alittle weird. i remember some game i was playing. i think uncharted 2 and the entire game looks kinda you pressed that fast forward button. it hard to describe but all the movement seemed too quick.
