the slower disc read speed of blu ray is definetly the reason however i think you can combat that with better streaming texture technology. if a game like uncharted can look that great without install of any kind and a great looking sandbox game like infamous 2 only has a 2.5gb install there is no reason rage need an 8gb install. sorry but 8gb? 4 is something i can understand but 8gb is basically half a game in most cases. If they needed it i can understand but i have my doubts that they need all that space versus the fact that its probably easier to just install it rather than optimize for the ps3

to elaborate i think sony really has to impressive with the NGP in terms of features. the whole motto is "games for the older crowd" but at the time we don't know if there is a market for that. a lot of people very content with their smartphone games and don't won't much else. the think the major thing they have to sell is playstation suite the NGP will live or die by that

I honestly don't know why people gave this such high scores this game is not a max payne game gameplay wise. If anyone bought this week one from walmart and got the first one as bonus you should know what I'm talking about. Max Payne was about run and gun shooting augmented by bullet time. MP3 however is a cover based shooter with bullet time. The gameplay is so stagnant. I played the original more than I have the third so far.
