Ultra refers to highest settings possible, no matter the game. Just go google ARK ULTRA SETTINGS and see the number of results. It's most common way to call it so don't try to play smart@ss. It will go service based and all digital streaming eventually. That's where the whole world is going. "They" (talking overall, not gaming strictly) try to make us own less real stuff. There are less cash transactions every year, instead most people use digital ways to pay. Everything goes digital, even human interactions. Next generations of people will have nothing more but a screen in front of their face and bills to pay. Ok.. I went a little off track here.
I want some really good Kinect game. Something else than dance stuff. It's an amazing device, but there are very few games that use its potential. In Dead Rising, it was awesome that you can point your finger anywhere on the screen and tell your comrades to go there or do something with the object. Awesome you could lure zombies by taunting them with your voice. I want more of that! Also, some serious sports game is welcome because Rivals suck bad.
Can you even read with understanding? Did I EVER said it looks like ultra PC settings? No wonder I get bubbled down so fast. You kids need to go back to school and learn basics of reading. Xbox One version holds it's own. Except resolution, it's custom medium-high settings (as stated by developers, but you probably gonna say developers don't own the game) with much lower image resolution (probably 720p in early access).

Just made a printscreen of this and few other of your funny assumptions. Will make sure to remind you once PS4 version is out. We'll all have a laugh. As for the ground texture, Mr.Armchair dev, in this case lighting doesn't have anything to do with the bitmap texture visible on the ground. If it would be "normal map" (look it up, probably that's what you mean by texture mapping, which is completely different thing, and yea, I work as a 3D...

XO will still get an upgrade, according to dev. People forget this is almost a year away still. What XO needs atm is resolution upgrade, other than that it's great. I love it runs around 50 fps most of time for me on private servers.
Graphics are really good. Only resolution is low, which will be upgraded later (official statement from Ark, check twitter).

no chance on earth this will run on PS VR. You need silky smooth 60 fps for both eyes. ITS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE with this game. Even monster machines for $3k can't handle it well. The fact that you even mention this game and psvr shows your complete lack of knowledge. Keep on dreaming that ps4 is some kind of wonder machine.

Do you really think Solus would run on Morpheus? I think you have no idea how much processing power is needed to run smooth 60fps game with ZERO hickups on VR. Only PC will have a decent VR experience untill next generation of consoles.
I think all of you misunderstood what KurapikaKurta wanted to say. Next gen is about new experiences, new ways to play and interact with other players, more simulations etc. Not just 1080p and 60fps because that's what PCs did years ago.

Are you serious??? Any emulator on PC does that and MUCH MORE including better shaders, texture filtering etc. Upping resolution and framerate from a ps3 to ps4 requires ZERO effort from developer. ZERO! Do you even hear yourself? How can you defend that against gears remaster that has COMPLETELY NEW ENGINE, Completely ...
