Xbox fans owe Sony nothing. PS4 fans owe Microsoft nothing. You're all fanboys that are making it out to be about YOUR system. The truth is that we ALL owe a big thank you not to a single company, but to the competition that comes with a free market. It is that competition that drives all game companies to do better, in their policies, hardware, software, game quality and in their dedication. about 60 million ps3s and xbox 360's have been sold. toegether thats 120 million, now lets drop that to about 75 million working units that are in operation, discounting broken units. 7 million ps4 and 5 million xbox one's have been sold. that makes an approximate 87 million hardware units as an install base. Less than 10% of gamers need to pick this up in order for it to break even.
If Epic wants too make it for consoles later then its no skin off Sony/Microsoft's back, sure they're not making money, but it's not like they're losing any either...
@Alithesnake1: Aim assist is garbage that noobs use. I play console shooters all the time and I hate it when i pop in a new game and im playing some multiplayer and i'm missing shots because aim assist fucks me over, then i turn aim assist off and i dominate.
Ok, you do realize that that is for the entirety of the game, right? You also realize that a nice chuck of that change is going to go to a dev staff team that will rotate to be on the clock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make sure that Destiny has something new every day right? @Thantalas, Cloud Compute can make graphics run better and here's how. Say you're running a game, and 50% of your ram is working on rendering, 25% on physics, and 25% on AI (percentages are completely arbitrary). Now suppose that you offload your physics and AI onto Cloud Compute, now that 50% that was focused on other tasks is freed up to do more rendering. BOOM, graphics have been enhanced.

Now they made some nice aesthetic changes to Infection (flood), but it sucked overall. Pistols are relatively useless and swords with dash are janky as hell (my buddy killed two guys with one sword swing while dashing...) You're bonkers if you think hardware can't be optimized. Sure it's set once its in the console, but the optimization comes before that when choosing what parts to put in. PS4 was optimized for high power at a low monetary cost to make it competitive, where as Xbox one was optimized to make the best use of dx12. It's not even Bethesda, everytime they release a game people ask them why it's a single player only game and they say "because that's not a game we wanna make" It's mostly Zinimax, the company that owns Bethesda and thus the rights to ES who've made the game that Bethesda didn't want to, mostly because they thought they could make money off it... hence subscription model...
