People still like COD too...and it's a tried and true formula. Some people like the games to be similar and if there was change too much there would be a rebellion too!
I think he does say that there is the controversy over the high scores too and accusations of being 'bought' doesn't he?
We've seen those as well.
It's because it is:
1) a console exclusive
2) a AAA game
3) a sequel
4) a new dev
5) and some people just want attention like the article says
I've heard mixed things about this game: especially that it is a really really slow start, which isn't great for attracting new people to the franchise.
This game just seems uninteresting.

It's amazing how much lighting, dust in the air, and such adds to the looks of a game. It adds a layer of depth and realism that really improves the experience.
It's a shame about this game because I was really looking forward to it.
