I am not expecting any miracles with wii U but for the price and some decent first party games I will throw my money down for it until the next xbox and ps3 come out. I have no delusion it will out power those kits but - hey, I will get my moneys worth out of it until they come out.
Too bad they don't go by actual user and not just GT because I have had it since launch but I believe I altered the name by one letter after one xbox died and I could not recover the old GT. Hmm.. now that I think of it, I have had at least 2 accounts at the same time for many years to allow my wife/kids to play - that SHOULD be worth something!
Hmm. Looking at the TB site the 400 300 x32 and x42 use duel 2.4/5.8 GHz. Why not the 500 too?
Anyway, I don't get interference from other stuff because my phone and router are not 2.4GHz. If I could I would use wired but it is just not convenient for my setup.
I am not a big fan of Sony headsets but these do seem like a pretty good deal. I still think my next headset will be the new Turtle Beaches with Bluetooth. I have been using the x41's since they came out and they are pretty good (about the same price as these). The short battery life is kind of a deal breaker though. My Turtles are about 10 hours and even then seems a bit short. At least with the turtles you can plug wired sets in and get 7.1 plus they have a pass through on the base so y...
yes but the Ipad is more than an adapter to play games. I see your point though. $799 to get an contract free Iphone 5! At least you don't have to worry about dropping your console in the toilet!
I remember N64 games being about $89 for AAA titles!
It was the only console I did not buy because it was just too expensive. I rented it a lot though! I payed $750 after taxes for the PS3 and $100 for a barely used slim with 2 controllers. $350 seems OK. If it was less then I think I would be concerned about the quality of it. You spend the money once to buy the console but you spend much more on the games. I think I spent about $5000 on xbox 1 games and about $4000 on xbox 360 games. So unless a console come out with less than say 10 games th...
I see what you mean but you are throwing your money at a nice TV that happens to do 3d(If you have a nice TV already then I def would not "upgrade" to 3D). So it is not like you are totally wasting your money. I am curious on the actual cost of incorporation of 3D into the TV.
I love new tech and flashy graphics but only to a certain extent. For example, I liked the Wii but it definitely needed better graphics and less lag in the control. Other than first party games, it got little play. If the Wii U can fix that then it will hold me over until the next from MS or Sony. I would love it if it was a power house of graphics but I knew it would not be. Maybe it is just me but I spend a lot on games so dropping $350 on the Wii U does not seam like much of a risk. I migh...
I like the IDEA of 3D but I would rather just have a nice panel for the extra dollars. Glasses-less on 3DS is cool at times but if you are playing games like mario kart you tend to move the 3DS around a bit which throws off the 3d. Obviously this is not a problem with tv's and I thought they were coming out with non glasses ones that let more than one person watch. If passive 3d came out with better frame rates I would be in for that since the glasses are cheap and light. I think it will ...
I like PC gaming but I love sitting on my couch playing something streamlined for the system (console). With a console the designers know exactly what they are working with and no need for driver updates and what-not. That is why they can make pretty decent games for 6-7 year old consoles. Once consoles can support games like BF3 like they do on PC I probably will not go back to PC until the next leap.
To me it seams they were going for the humor of games like Portal 2 but kind of fell short in my opinion. Does not matter to me though, I think the game is great even though I could not get into the first one. My only gripe is 4 (or 3) player co-op on same console because both my kids want to play with me and it causes arguments. I understand why though.
I have so many wasted AV cables because usually everything comes with basic cables and I have had HDTVs with HDMI for along time. I am glad for once they are not just pandering to the SD crowd.
Those do look good and I have looked at that mixamp and might pick it up for my second setup. I almost need the wireless for my game room though since I have kids that run around and I like to get up and get a beer while still chatting between games.
I bought the x41 a couple of years ago for just these reasons. My wife would constantly complain about the gun noises in games. I have a decent surround system too but when I moved to a new game room there was just no good place to put the speakers. I am now looking into getting the new turtle beach ones with blue tooth once my home renovation are done. I just wish someone would come up with a way to play split screen MP with two headsets and separate audio because with the x41 you can plug i...
nice!
Looks real good! FTP I like that! I remember having lots of fun with Mech games on xbox and I have not played a good one in years. I hope it supports controller because I suck at kb/m for movement and since it has left and right guns the controller should be pretty useful. I don't think controller would be as much of a disadvantage as regular FPS since the mechs are bigger and naturally a bit slower(?)
Hmm. Maybe kind of like a dedicated system like apple? There own OS and since the hardware would be standardized it would be easier to make games optimized for it? Interesting but I am happy with a mid range gaming PC and a console for my day to day playing around.
Have you played it? I have a nice PC but everyone else I know will/would get it on xbox. I can't find any real reviews that separate the systems. OTHER than controls vs KB/m is it much of a difference?
How about the NeoGeo pocket colour? I still have one of those in the original box. Loved the sega gamegear but it ate batteries like a beast!
