So basically you buy a games console from said company & they decide to change it's function to (for example) a toaster. Consumers not happy. Stop buying product. Product fails...
If no action is taken to protect said product (from hacking) on-line gaming experience is ruined by hackers. Investment/quality falls due to piracy. People go out of business because fools like you like to spread paranoia.

In all fairness. When my 360 Rod-ed, I sent it away & got it back fixed in 2weeks. Which is really good. When my lens went on my PS3, they collected it, & I got it back in a week. Which is really, really good. However, these things really shouldnt happen..

Both are great games, but I do think Silent Hill 2 was more terrifying. I had nightmares. o_0

I.E. It's bad news that a company are trying to stop piracy on the product that they have developed. I am know rolling my eyes. Why don't you just give free access to all the hoodlums in your vicinity access to your home & belongings & see how long your house hold goods stay within your property?
