Did I just go from waiting for a price to pre-ordering this game?!?! Yes I did.
Is that Aria in my squad?!? Win.
Want to tell me how you got the game to make that analysis? I thought the release date was... you know... next year -_-
@GrahamGolden... cool story except I play my Xbox and Ps3 more than my PC.
I'm merely stating facts. There isn't that much of a barrier that developers have to go through on PC that they do on consoles. On top of developers doing internal testing at their end (lets say that takes 2 weeks) they have to wait for Microsoft and Sony to do testing on their system (taking another two weeks = a month already).
Man I don't like ordering things from gamestop anymore but this is literally awesome.
Last of Us looks better. I really do love the color pallet for it.
If this was for PC it'd be up ASAP but thats the problem with dealing with Xbox and Ps3's online system. A patch has to go through multiple "phases" within Microsoft and Sony, like play testing etc. which usually takes time, in order to finally be approved for download.
Laharl FTW!
This game is fun but I wished they would've put more option in. This BETA is equivalent to playing Smash with just the time, which isn't bad, but I always play Smash with stock/lives and wanted to see how this game would play with lives too. Aside from my nitpicking I'm really enjoying this game. The combo system is really fun and the fact that you can only gain super meter by attacking ensures that its a more offensive game.
Its nice. Too expensive though :/
Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us dominate this list in terms of art style alone. Sure I love 1080p, 60fps and uber real facial animations as much as the next person but give me a unique looking world & characters and I'm sold.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 -> A game running on a modified engine that's 5 years old. Oh yeah... great graphics there buddy.
Halo 4 -> boring sad looking characters and mediocre graphics at best, linear yawn-fest story.. see what I did there?
I was at NYCC too and played both the Metroid and Luigi's Manshion demos. It was definitely fun. I didn't get to try out the gamepad because the line for that, and the Wii-U section in general, was long and crowded. Its definitely a fun game, especially for a room full of friends, and it kind of reminds me of a reboot of Mario Party.
You can take auto-aim off in Red Dead Redemption. I agree though the whole auto-aim/snap to an opponent's head mechanic makes games ridiculously easy. That's why I take off aim-assist on all my shooters.
This booth is so crowded! Only got to play God of War multilayer which was interesting.
It's visually brilliant - This is completely subjective. Sure a games can push more pixels now a days but I rather have an amazing art style over uber-realism. For example, I think Wind Waker is more "visually brilliant" than Battlefield.
Online gaming - Already made my point.
Digital distribution - This is a good thing. The more options for people to buy games from the better.
Consoles have more to offer than just games - I ...
You speak the truth. I play a lot of fighting games and nothing replaces sitting side by side with your opponents. I also remember going to a lot of 16 player LAN parties with Halo 2. Sure online is convenient but nothing beats seeing someone's face after a head shot or hopping off your seat to trash talk to someone across the room. Great times.
The Mass Effect trilogy is over. Like the ending or not, the story had a definite end. A new IP would be more beneficial to Bioware than continuing the Mass Effect series. They can always go back but I think a break from the franchise is really needed. And when they do go back, they should take some notes from The Witcher 2.
you forgot that the graphics are 40 times better than real life. So good it'll burn your eyes.
Well deserved. I always say, "What Journey does in 3 hours, other games can't or struggle to do in 20+." My game of the year.
