Yea... This is one that will require making space... bye bye clone-ware!
uh....
How many years did PS2 live past launch of PS3? It is possible to support more than one device for a period of time.
That being said, I believe the current core consoles are becoming dated to the extent that PC and Nintendo are forcing their hands. Neither will stand for Nintendo dominance in sales another generation without a serious competitive fight. Launching next Gen core consoles too long after Nintendo this Gen will be a massive mistake.
Why do I keep reading comments that make absolute most rational sense from members with next to no bubbles?
Suck
Who a could think reading title say huh?
Yours too huh?
HA! Thanks, great funny!
I hope this stirs more interest from all publishers and Dev teams. Successful platforms spawns competitive industry. Competitive industry spawns growth and innovation. Growth and innovation leads to Kick *ss games.
I want to be an interoffice partner... Coolest job on the planet.
I believe I pledged to Go Commando September 20th! In fact, I think I have been going Commando since September 20th!
I may need to go... I'll be... Later.
Actually, I think there are some really good iOS games. The games that exploit the in-built technologies of the iOS devices are typically the best in my opinion. Some core type games have actually come across well now and are making great strides in not only control methods but in over all quality. That being said, I think there will still be a need for buttons and analog controlled devices for down to the gritty gaming.
The real genius are likely to be in those devices that ...
Hey... someone with a brain wrote an article about smart phones... and posted it on N4G? Isn't that against the rules?
Try to play Gears 3 or Resistance 3 or any other modern PC/Console core type game on a button-less device like an iPod/iPhone or similar. They are definitely not on the same side of the coin in my opinion.
That is like trying to play Star Craft II on the Kinect.. LOL
I think at this point, they are taking the viewpoint... if it is still selling just keep adding those neat stickers and cool cases and it should keep moving off the shelves. *digital shelves too I better add.
You can not drive a Warthog in the game because the Warthog has the most horrid god awful !@#$ *@s handling in the history of anything with wheels.
Edit* It also holds the galactic record for highest rollover rate.
There is and always will be room for both markets. Key word, "Markets" Not one but TWO. I love the quick pick up and play iOS games and the like... but I compare the 2 markets to a old hand held marble in a maze toy to a interactive paintball arena. They are two totally different experiences.
I think it should be March 6th and free for me.
Sony has done just that with the core design of its Vita. Common buttons and dual analog is obvious for the core market and development but the inclusion of not only a rear, but more importantly, multi-touch front screen is gorgeous forward thinking on Sony part. Ports of more ( or Less ) popular touch mobile phone titles could sell on Vita also. This puts all 3 major markets available on one device. Smart indeed.
They have mastered the hip dip! Mmm.
