It's not an HD remake it's just a release on the virtual machine of Wii U. Although, in this case, I share your enthusiasm for it to be a Remake type release and not just another old game coming to a new console.
I never had high hopes for big new announce at today's Direct, I still came away feeling like there was a lot of fluff and not much meat. Come on Nintendo, you’ve got to do more. Give us some major remake/spin-off/HD remastering or something.

Well, Finally. My son will be relieved that his Vita games are still in it. As for myself, I really would of liked to see one nice game on a console. But I can hope for next month. I will add, this lineup would have been better as an October release.
I really wish they would at least make an official statement regarding the hold up on the announce and now release of this months plus. I just want someone to say something.
The Wii U may not have massive numbers in sales, but the machine itself is not a failure at all. It is a nice machine. It's later games are good quality fun pieces of work. It's getting many good indie titles and seems to get more announced every week.
The Wii U has a great year coming. I wouldn't be so quick to dissmiss it as a total failure until we see how things go over next 12 months.

Seriously, Ive seen many gamers say this same thing of this time period and I have to agree. Not that there are no good games now, but there was a magic in the air in the 2006/07 timeline that has been lost. If we could just get that same vibe with today's tech.
