With the recent smoke about MS selling its Xbox Divison, maybe this acquisition is another sign for where the company is concentrating on next.
Their Gaming Division hasn't been very profitable, especially compared to other divisions.
I'd say... If Xbox One doesn't succeed, I think MS will quit the console market.

Might get the PC version myself, although my PC is not a high-end one, I've heard this game actually has a special UI designed for the PC version. Which is cool since not a lot of Multiplatform games offer that anymore.

Despite the great reviews, this game isn't getting a lot of hype compared to games like LBP Karting, which is a shame.
Because this is the best kart racer of all time.

but u gotta admit there is some really good production values for a japanese game.

The only thing that looks better is the graphics like I said.
The gameplay is the same old tedious, slow, cover-humping pacing.
And the enemies looks very dumb, at least the pacing in Vanquish looks fresh, you are encouraged to boost around and hit the enemies frontlines not stay 90% of the time behind cover.
It's far off. They say 2014 and I think its gonna be late 2014. They've shown little of the game so far, most of what we've got are leaks!
