I assure you, the stream was directly from PS4. (The PS4 streaming UI is obvious).
Besides, I'm pretty sure the developers said something about Interactive Streaming features in this game... Like typing in the comments to increase health and whatnot.

Did you look at the gameplay video? The grain filter is only apparent in dark areas... And it's not as heavy as Silent Hill's grain filter.

The Evil Within is closer to RE4 than RE5 in terms of structure.
The recent horror games has been far too liner, so a little backtracking can be good.
It improved a lot in such a short time...
It's out sometime next year so I hope they polish it even more.
