it's mad that even though we found out at least a week ago, these stories about red dead being inferior or whatever on ps3 are still top billing on n4g. i mean, yea its a real blow in some respects, and i fuel the fire simply by clicking the links to these things, but, while i am a bit naffed off that we get yet another slightly inferior port, i can see past it and enjoy the hell out of what is most definately a landmark title. i've put some hours into this game over the last few days...

what, so apparently noone actually liked resistence 2? huh, from what i remember everyone raved about it back in the day, very few reviews gave it savage scores, mostly 8s and 9s if i remember correctly. to me it seems this sudden "yea we never liked it" has come outta almost nowhere. this may just be personal preference talkin here, but i MUCH preferred the second one, no annoying chick narrating what should have been cutscenes, guns that put people/aliens down easily, awesome boss...

i'm gonna reserve judgement till it arrives on friday, either way it's gonna look better than gta, seeing as everywhere says that its a great lookin game and the only difference is resolution between the 2 consoles. i jus wanna kill me some buffalos and injuns
well there's a surprise, but at least it's rockstar, who've never made any outlandish claims about the ps3 being their superior console, as i remember the company behind ghostbusters talkin some trash a couple years ago sayin that the ps3 was letting them do new things they never knew about, and then giving us a battered and bruised port of ghostbusters with savagely below hd res lol. on another note i hope to christ my ps3 copy comes tomorrow!
how about the killzone2 engine? or the mgs4 engine? or whatever was used for alan wake? kinda unthought out really

i've always looked forward to this game, but...well it doesn't really look so great, i know it's got a few months left and that was only the coop, but it looked a bit broken to be honest, i'll try n be optimistic as i still want to get it when its released, but man i hope its better than it looks
the screenshots look alot better than halo3, but when it's in motion you cant really tell, still doesn't look particularly nex-gen, but meh it's still in beta stage so can be forgiven. the boys downstairs from me have been playin halo3 for the whole uni year and now we've played the beta and even they think it's disapointing given the "graphical leap" hype given about it. still mad fun though!
not that i doubt their ability as game designers, but if they're talking about the tech side, not a sodding chance. even their latest game looks like the one they released 3 years ago, despite using a newer engine. goddamn speculative bull

looks like halo3, except slightly less cartoony and with a smoother framerate, and a sprint ability, which i don't remember bein in 3...we all know it's gonna do very well, but doesn't exactly look groundbreaking...
whenever i usually watch a bluray on my tv, im disapointed by some aspect of it, but avatar is the best quality (visually and technically) home cinema experience i've had, i was quite reserved after seeing it in 3d at the cinema cos i thought the film might've been carried by the 3d, but i was wrong...the clarity's amazing, and the film is epic.. people may think it sucks or whatever but i enjoyed it alot. the new flagship bluray demo title for sure!
they can't expect to do stuff like this without having to make sarifices somewhere, especially in the beginning...and i read that motorstorm is staying 720 anyway because it was only 1080 that needed downscaling due to to the high requirements of producing multiple 1080p images

it'd be cool to get this on ps3, but like those batman AA joker maps it's probably gonna stay put. and as it's coming out before the game itself then that makes me doubt even more that it'll cross plaforms, as i doubt thered be any sense releasing it after the actual game! and yeah this news came out a while back...

where are they gettin those metascores from? cos they ain't from metacritic...it's a good concept for an article though, shows how strong both consoles exclusives are, i can appreciate that even as a ps owner
hmm, i feel a little weird about this. it's a good thing for the industry, but maybe not for sony. i'll be happy as long as ratchet and resistance stay exclusive, my only concern is this; given all the fuss bein made about red dead comparisons and sub hd blabla, what is it gonna be like when/if they release a multiplat game thats superior on 360? there'll be a fookin uproar. goddamn you recession!
