Should that really matter with Halo games or for any game for that matter? It's all about the gameplay and the fun. And the art style is also excellent as well.

Same here. I was hesitant at first, but the single-player was actually quite fun and the time-mechanics gameplay didn't hurt either. It was totally unique, but the game was enjoyable overall. A good rent I would say.
