Very disappointed with the beta. Very repetitive and lacking content. Also a bit clunky. I can forgive some of that because it's a beta but I just can't see this being good after playing the beta.

I agree here. We simply have not been given enough information about the order: 1886 which scares me.
In the past, companies who've kept things under wraps did so to hide things and keep the hype going... I hope this isn't true.
Since a child, final fantasy and metal gear solid have been my favorite franchises.
Nothing was able to reach those ranks for me until from software and the souls series came around.
The games are absolutely incredible. The epitome of what video games should be in my opinion.

I don't understand why people use linear like it's a completely terrible thing. Like no game has ever been linear and good.
Who cares if dying light is more "open"... By no means does that make it a good game.
Especially for a game that is already overpriced, IMO.
I played the alpha and beta and it's seriously just running around 4v1 over and over and over.... With no loot drops or anything to keep it exciting.
It's very repetitive and should only be a $30 or $40 game at most.

If you think dark souls isn't about reflexes and quick reaction speeds than you are either really bad at the game or have never actually played it.
Huh? You do realize how many classes in demon/dark souls there are that don't use shields, right?
You do not, by any means, need to rely on a shield for those games.
Maybe if you're just starting out or not good at these types of games you can hide behind a heavy shield. But in no way must you rely on a shield.
It's not really multiplayer. More of a "shared world" type of online like destiny is.

Been playing the Evolve alpha this weekend. Very repetitive. Controls are clunky. It doesn't "feel good" moving the characters around.

These games always have terrible stories. They plop your character in a world with a million things to find and collect with the story barely being relevant.
