Sony knows not everyone is early adapters to the next gen.
PS3 will be going strong till 2016-2017 at least
And what a horrible position that puts Sony in, to have two consoles on the market selling at the same time... Oh, wait, they've done that since they started making game machines.
Seriously though Sony is delivering great exclusive games like TLOU and B2S so if your new to ps3 or just sticking with it for awhile longer then sonys got you covered

Tbh both are bringing plenty of games early.
Sony always has a good flow of games from beginning to end, but MS historically does not have games toward the end.
I want to see what happens 2-3 years from now
I don't much care how a console looks, I care how it preforms.

But PS3 did catch 360 and surpass it, that's with the 360 selling for a year longer than PS3... In some places 18 months longer.

@dedicated the sad thing is xbot fan tards eat up all the rumors about how MS is making the XB1 more powerful before launch. The 12 gb ram is just the latest... Any changes at this point to the hardware would push back there release date, and end up making the launch some time next year.
Gotta to except the XB1 specs ms gave out from reveal to E3 are the real specs of the XB1.
MS won't be cheaper, and won't have that year to year and a half lead on store shelfs, so really they can't edge out playstation. Seeing as they didn't beat them with those things.
PS3 beat 360 and PS4 will beat XB1

@fridge you do know that Sony has lots of apps and entertainment features also, the big difference is they don't stick them behind a pay wall, for instance you don't need PSPlus to use your Netflix account

Chances are that there will be a lot more wii u's available then either XB1 or PS4's... So yes they stand a chance THIS holiday season.
Not gonna happen, first price drop will be a year later if they don't sell... If they do sell then they will keep it at that price for a while longer.

As a playstation fan, I was against the policies, I'm glad they removed them, I would never sign a petition that brought them to any console.
MS went about there idea the wrong way, they should have done a better job showing all the positives, but there mouth pieces stumbled every chance they had. MS is solely to blame for there recent struggles, but the XB1 has sold out most places you can pre order them, and a majority of those orders came after the policies were removed.
