Christopher I am not sure if Xbox is ahead in terms of introducing streaming. They sure are ahead in the way they execute the service. They began with a beta and now are integrating XCloud into Ultimate Xbox GamePass which allows you as a gamer to play a large library of games at home on your Xbox or PC, or on the go on your laptop or Mobile device. You add in over a 100 games first party, third party, and Indies, plus bac Compat in rotation and Xbox live to continue to play with my friends....

It really does come down to execution. PS Now started streaming service before Google, EA, Ubisoft and Xbox. It is well documented that streaming at least through PSNow had lag and bugs. Instead of Sony improving service and growing service, Sony allowed Xbox to come in with a download service that did very well due to actually allowing for you to download games as opposed to streaming. The fidelity input was 1 to 1 as opposed to lag Sony offered. A year later Sony adapted by letting you dow...

Well said, I love Nintendo Switch. Here's hoping they bring out fantastic games for the rest of the year.

Xbox is going into next generation with the world's most powerful console, 15 Xbox Studios, Xbox GamePass, Project XCloud. This is going to be a solid generation. The fact that I can take gaming with me and still log into my games is fantastic. I am looking forward to more innovative experiences like this from team Xbox. Keep up the good work. Let's go.

I would send Phil a letter and add language stating you own the IP let Ninja Theory take assets and develop Scalebound.

Ninja Theory did a fantastic job with Devil May Cry why not allow them to step up to the plate.

I think it's a win. I wouldn't give Platinum more money after delivering 5 games around the time of developing Scalebound and not completing your game. That's not acceptable. To top it off they develop mutiplat games for compe...

The big ticket games as you call them never come on day 1. Third party works a deal with Microsoft a few months after retail or digital release, in some cases a year later, 2 or three years later (Yakuza and GTA V for example) to bring to Xbox GamePass. If you look at retail most games in the same time frame lose value in some cases you can get for under 20 bucks so overall the business model works. The deal is brokered for less on third party games. Xbox is taking the money from Xbox GamePa...

Your missing a few key details. Not every gamer subscribes to Xbox GamePass. Some gamers want to buy games to own. Xbox games are on its eco system Xbox and PC. Xbox GamePass is one source of revenue not the entire picture.

@majiebeast

Every platform Sony and Nintendo invest in third party games whether through marketing, timed exclusives or exclusives. In Xbox case they invest to have in GamePass upfront and the money is made in the long term.

It's a great business if you think about how gamers are exploring new games.

I know a few who subscribe to Xbox GamePass and they purchase games for cheaper when they become less. It's a sustainable busi...

Not every game is $60 dollars. Different titles from indies to triple AAA on Xbox GamePass.

Well said. I open up new companies for Corporation I work for and I can tell you most companies don't see a huge profit initially for three years. It's an investment made in order to see long term dividends. Xbox GamePass does see a small profit. But not huge. The service has been around since 2017. It will take time to grow as all businesses do. To be clear, let's revisit topic in 2023. I think if all goes well 10 million subscribers possibly ...

Funny positive articles about Xbox that come off repetitive are usually failed. Multiple Click bait articles about Xbox are being allowed on this website. Shocker. Ladies and Gentlemen Demo's are now considered the final product. Welcome to 2020.

Still getting Halo Infinite Day 1. Playing with my friends in that open world sandbox with Halo combat evolved feeling is what got me sold.

Glad Xbox GamePass helping gamers discover more games.

Your comment seems a bit off. Xbox has Halo Infinite, Flight Simulator, Crossfire X, Gears Tactics, Psychonauts 2, BattleToads, The Outerworlds DLC, Stalker 2, Wasteland 3, The Medium, Warhammer DarkTide, ExoMech, Scorn, The Ascent, Second Extinction, Call of The Sea, Gunk and a ton more coming in the next 12-18 months. I see big and medium games coming. Add third party and we have a good solid lineup.

@Monkey- I disagree with your comment about quality The Outerworlds, Forza Horizon, Ori 2, Halo MCC, Hellblade, Gears of War, Minecraft Dungeons etc are proof that on Xbox GamePass they have quality games.

@2cents

I appreciate your follow up. We need more like you on N4G. I understand where you coming from. Every so often I give myself a break from N4G and then return. Not sure why I pursue positive dialogue. I don't see why so much hate. Maybe I want to hear an explanation/opinion rather than trolling. Overall, thank you for your response. Also, super hyped for Xbox Series X, especially for Halo Infinite, The Medium, Crossfire X, State of Decay 2, Avowed, Fable, Stalker ...

I guess looking at the comments and how everyone tries to vacuum Xbox into a system that isn't mature or that Halo demo was indicative of it not being mature is premature. I actually think outside of the N4G bubble and in many websites you see people genuinely looking forward to Halo and the Medium for example. Mature titles. I want to be clear, my comment doesn't discredit the competition. I am simply calling a spade a spade. I will probably get a ton of disagrees with no comments ...
