I don't agree. Most people want to see what they want to see based on their preferred platform. Go to other outlets and other tech sites and you will see Xbox has huge following and a loud presence. The talking points have made it clear that Xbox is in position for a strong generation.
Xbox has done a fantastic job on the lead up to next generation. We know about the specs, console, controller, a breakdown of console (digital foundry and Austin Evans), feature and services i.e. Smart Delivery and Xbox GamePass, developers speaking on system and how many partners across the world (over 140+), we know some first party games, Halo Infinite, Hellblade 2 Senua's Saga, EverWild. Plus we know about third party games and third party exclusives, Medium, Scorn, Call of The Sea, ...
Great Tech Demo. Good to see what next generation games will be capable of doing.
I see your point. Well said. I still think they should learn, move forward and not make same mistake again.
The show highlighted some solid looking games, some of which are exclusive. Next time MS remove "gameplay" language and insert "new reveals on upcoming games". Overall, during the current pandemic state were in. I would cut them some slack. They are giving gamers news on upcoming games and releasing games on Xbox One and Xbox GamePass every month. They have a lot going on. Plus this was the first of many. You learn from this and move forward and don't look back.
Tom Warren works for Verge. Why are these articles getting approved. Mods please do a better job of filtering.
Smart Delivery is pro consumer.
I love twin stick shooters with a Cyberpunk feel.
I thought the games were fantastic. Really love the diversity coming Xbox Series X. Medium, Call of the Sea, The Ascent, Scorn and Extinction were solid.
So new narrative is MS pays Forbes. Really.
The advantage right now is that Xbox has conviction and confidence to talk about hardware, show games, highlight services and continue to highlight why Xbox is for gamers. We have a full year ahead with more news and so far Xbox is miles ahead in the discussion. Looking forward to what's next.
I know this is unpopular to say. However, even with this one bump in the road in the lead up to Xbox Series X. I truly believe they are hype to show off solid games which they gave us. Best Inside Xbox I seen since show started. Medium, Scorn, The Ascent, Second Extinction, Call of the Sea and Bright Memory Infinite got my attention.
Games that got my attention,
Medium
Scorn
The Ascent
Call of the Sea
Bright Memory Infinite
Looking forward to playing on Xbox Series X.
That's a solid group of developing partners to start new generation.
@Khalina
It's been that way for a long time on this website. I even ask to have civil discussion but most just disagree with no response. Those that do respond you are unable to respond back. The reply button magically disappears. I pay no mind to it. Many not all on website have biases and or have agendas. Call it bias, opinion or insecurity. No matter how you look at it. It's why many good gamers have left this website.
Spare me the damage done crap. You been a part of the anti X generation. Try having a little more respect for the work people put on to give us a show with games, games, games.
Those games looked great for New IP.
Agreed many of these games got my attention. Love horror games.
In my opinion I like the show. I got a ton of disagrees on another article for saying I like the games shown however, would prefer a bit more gameplay/walkthrough. I gave it an 8/10. Many of those games are going to be exclusives on Xbox. I understand everyone has different taste. This is a first show of many. We still don't have the full picture yet. Let's wait to see everything they have to offer.
I loved every game I saw today from Action, to horror to Shooters. I think the mistake was not getting a few actual in game play walkthrough.
I give the show an 8/10 for first of many Xbox shows coming this year.
Congratulations to Nintendo.
I believe the most important thing they care about is keeping the gamer engaged in the Xbox eco system while bringing new gamers and gamers who went to other platforms. Hence investments in new first party Studios, Xbox GamePass, Mixer, Id@Xbox, Xbox Consoles, XCloud etc.
