Another poor article.
Alan Wake, Halo Reach and Halo 4, Witcher 2, Shadow Complex, Gears of War 2, Left For Dead 2, Crackdown, Condemned Criminal Origins and Bioschock are all games that should be played before you make the jump to next gen.
To many people are holding unto the whole DRM topic when it has been changed like a month ago. Taking care of an issue before it truly becomes an issue is what should be commended not continue to make an issue out of it when it is not.
Excellent way to intergrate kinect without taking away from the gaming experience that people love.
This blog reeks of fanboyism and bad journalism. There is nothing wrong with loving your system of choice but making claims that are false are what can hurt the gaming industry not competition.
I am going with Xbox One day One. They have the games that interest me in the first year. PS4 will be a purchase in about 1 or 2 years depending on the exclusives.
@devwan
Why should I hold fire on my excellent news remark. If you look at my prior sentence, I said good to see both consoles have a good start. Bringing new consoles will stimulate the gaming industry.
I have always said go with the system that caters to you.
Gamers fail to realize that both these systems are going to be well over there asking price. Once you factor in taxes, games, controllers, online play. For some of us who own our system of choice we may not have to pay for online since our accounts will be intergrated into the next gen systems.
You make a good point about stock. I was asked to put 100 down for the pre-Order at Gamestop. So no it is not that easy for many.
MS has been making excellent decisions. I think that they will be more clear from this point on. Just continue to focus on the great games and then the features.
Good to see that both consoles have a good start. Excellent news for the gaming industry.
Its hard to tell if all the games are great or are going to be horrible. We have to wait till launch to judge for ourselves. As far as interest I definitely have interest in the games.
Xbox selling out at stores indicates that it is doing very well when so many thought it would not. Can't wait for Xbox One.
I believe MS does not want to have the same scenerio they had with the Xbox 360 high demand and not enough consoles. They are making sure they can supply demand to all outlets to ensure a said amount of systems are going to be available at launch and post launch. So far they have been selling out at many game outlets.
The problem is that many of the same people (they know who they are) that used to brag about sales charts and which consoles were "better" in the last gen.....are the same people now saying "it doesn't matter which system is stronger or selling more pre-orders" because their favorite console is not getting the same love now from the gaming community that it did in the last generation.
It is all a matter of perception for instance you have gamers that n...
You have games like DeadRising 3, RYSE, Killer Instinct, Forza 4, Lococycle, Kinect Sports Rivalries mix them with 3rd party games like Assassins Creed 4, Battlefield, Call of Duty Ghost, Watchdogs. Xbox One day One for me.
@lastofgen
I agree MS had a better showing. E3 should be all about the games not politics.
Developers are already making games that are going to use kinect for example
Deadrising 3
RYSE
FORZA 5
Battlefied 4
Call of Duty Ghost
Kinect Sports Rivals
Witcher 3
D4
Below
Crimson Dragon
EA Sports Games
NBA 2K14
These are all games that will adopt kinect in a meaningful way. Can't wait to enjoy these games.
The kinect is already being intergrated in meaningful ways for Xbox One for example being able to use it for Xbox live(UI), able to upload the barcode off an xbox live card, reading your heart rate, ability to use in the dark, being able to adapt to the player control configurations, voice commands and ability to make movements in games like DeadRising 3.
