Labels like "rogue like" don't really mean much. The game is an awesome shooter with awesome atmosphere and a killer sound design.
Returnal is the best game so far by Housemarque and that says a lot considering I've been playing their games since PS3.

But the same with seriesX if you only owned an Xone last generation upgrading to Ps5 and keeping the Xone. You get to experience everything from PS4 with ps5 plus actual next gen games, VR, PSNow, ps+ and by keeping the Xone you still get rent all xbox future games. There's very little incentive to upgrade to any series console if you already had Xbox last gen.
If you only owned Xbox last gen than getting a ps5 will be the best choice. Keep your oneX and get the $400 ps5.

I disagree. Going from Xone, which was an incredibly mediocre gen even by Xbox standards, to Ps5 is worth it. Going from PS4 to Xseries is not especially not serS. We are talking about the ps4 which just had one of greatest gen endings and going to xseries where the best thing going for them is a rental service for old games.
