The PC is NEXT GEN but today and not 6 years into it's life cycle or next next gen we will do what we promised this gen like some other "things" that play games.

with about 100 publications handing that award out who gives shit? All my favorite games won a GOTY award last year and all my favorite games will win one next year but i really don't care.
they need to have one organization that really matters give out that award like the Oscars in the movie business. sure you can win an Emmy or a golden globe or a SAG award but no one cares until you win an Oscar then your legendary.
Here we go with the GOTY awards even before the game is out. No alpha no beta no release date but BF3 has already won a couple GOTY awards.
It has the potential but so does about 10 other games. GOTY means ZERO now a days because so many of them are handed out like Halloween candy.

The night scene wasn't dark enough. Sorry I'm not being nit-picky but after playing the S.T.A.K.L.E.R. series with it's 24 hour day night cycle plus weather, the night time in BF3 wasn't dark enough.
STALKER is pitch black at night and even darker on a cloudy night and requires flashlights and night vision to get around (sorry no street lights in the Zone) plus real-time lighting effects and reflections from firing a weapon in the dark.

Battlefield 3 looks real. I haven't had a hard on for a games graphics like this since Metro 2033 PC.
Graphics are everything in FPS because great graphics add to the depth of the game and make for deeper immersion and atmosphere. KZ3 is great but BF3 is FN real!!
you can see the reflection of the world in real time in certain scopes. this will help prevent people from sneaking up on you. AWESOME for the "Ghillie Suit" crowd.

If PC gaming wasn't such a huge business why would Nvidia Geforce, AMD Radeon, Cooler Master Thermaltake Corsair Alienware iBuyPower and so many other companies that basically make money from PC gamers be in business.

Let me start of by saying KZ3 is the best looking game on the console PERIOD and that this comparison is basically a opinion piece. your opinion of graphics likes may differ from mine so someone preferring KZ3 graphics over BF3 is very logical and no one should have a problem with that.

Amnesia The Dark Descent is scary and gives me the creeps, great game. Go get it, not to difficult but just the atmosphere makes the game creepy.
