Okami sold less than 30,000 total on the PS2 and Wii combined and it is one of the best games to come out in the last 5 years.
Chrissy, Motorstorm sold 3.6 million. Uncharted sold 2 million. Heavenly Sword sold 1.2 million.
Who even cares how many copies a game sells anyway? Does a game have to sell millions for someone to like it? Many great games never break 500,000 sold, but it doesn't make them any less good.

I'm sick of all fanboys. The whole concept doesn't make sense. Any true gamer would want to own every system available, and if they couldn't afford them all, they would pick which one they liked more and have fun with it. And in the end, what do fanboys want anyway? Assuming Sony, or Microsoft quit the games business, are they suddently going to be friendly with these people they have been alienated and persecuting the last 2 years? Please explain your mindset to me. You want to see a game maker fail? You want there to be less video games, and less people enjoying games? I thought we gamers bought video games to have fun, but it seems that idea is outdated, and the new reason to play video games is to insult people who have fun, but on a different console. Why would you want to take away someones fun, just because it was not on the same plastic box as your fun? Please, if you can, give me a rational explanation.
I think people are jaded. People think a game needs to sell 2 million copies in the first 2 days (GeOW2) to be successful. It's exactly like how people on the internet believe that any review below 9/10 is a bad one.
The fact is, a developer with less than 30 people made a game that sold more than 200,000 copies in less than a week in North America. I bet they are thrilled.
Ratchet and Clank only sold 75,000 it's first month and it is now up to 1.4 million.
Sony never said the game was going to sell millions in the first days. It's a new IP, doing something new with community creation. Also, if you look back 1 year ago, Ratchet and Clank Future sold only 75,000 in he month of October and everyone said it was a flop. Fast forward 1 year and it has sold 1.4 million copies. LBP still has Black Friday and Christmas to get up in the millions.

Why do you bash the PS3? It's competition, and without competition the games industry would stale. You want Sony to stop making games? I've seen LBP tv ads at least 4 times.
Are people forgetting that the NPD is only American sales, and that LBP was only out for 4 days in the month of October? 200,000 in 4 days in a single territory isn't bad.
