Demon's Souls catered to gamers with that particular taste. Mainly the people who grew up with gaming like me. It was never intended to appeal to health regen/frequent checkpoint loving people who started gaming this generation.
Why should the spiritual successor be any different?
The key words are "when you land on Gran Pulse". You should not have to spend 25 hours fighting in a hallway just to get to the point where the game becomes fun. A game should be fun from the beginning, and if not the beginning then certainly not 25 hours later.
None of those scenarios are really an issue for me. Firmware patches generally come in the middle of the night, and since I became a PS+ subscriber now get downloaded automatically in the middle of the night. Maintenance generally happens in the middle of my work day. I don't think I have ever encountered an 8001050F error. Also, I can count on one hand the number of times my ISP has gone down in the last 2 years.
I am looking forward to cloud saving myself. Cross game chat would be nice, but I would not really have much of a practical use for it. When I am playing a multiplayer game I would prefer to communicate with my team. When I am playing a single player game I try to engross myself into the story. I really couldn't care less about auto-syncing trophies. It isn't that hard to manually sync them when you are done playing.
Cloud saving is on the way, and don't forget t...
He is probably someone with common sense. It is not a difficult concept. The PC is a cheaper and more open solution for Linux users. It is the path of least resistance. Just about everything in nature follows the path of least resistance, so it stands to reason that anyone who is really interested in Linux puts it on a PC.
Meh. I am always connected to the PSN when I am playing anyway.
There is a reason for it. People would boost in the previous titles by joining a high level player and letting that player protect them while they fought high level enemies at low level.
That is not an accurate statement. Final Fantasy XI is on the Xbox 360.
It hasn't been confirmed of course, but I am betting that Ninja Gaiden 3 releases on both consoles at the same time.
I bet he has a PC.
I had a feeling they would eventually do a disc release in NA. That is why I haven't purchased the digital releases yet.
I stopped worrying about what is fair in life about the time I hit puberty. You will be happier if you do as well. You will be constantly disappointed otherwise.
Granted I am only 11 hours in to FFXIII (and have been for months now), but Vanille never annoyed me. I can't stand Hope or Snow though.
I will continue to support EA as long as EA continues to deliver games I want to play. I could not care less about the online pass system because I buy my games new anyway.

I don't loan my games out. No exceptions. I have been burned in the past by friends and roommates.
So far the Batman missions are the most fun for me. They also seem more difficult than the quest lines for Superman and Wonder Woman.
I would buy it at that price.
Better yet, what would be the chance of your PS3, the cloud, and the cloud backup all going down at the same time?
You know the cloud will have a backup. On my network I backup in triplicate.
I am with spinal remains. Used hardware is generally sold "as is", and if you get burned then either return it if possible or suck it up if you can't.
A good reviewer will review a product on it's own merits, not the merits of other products. Reviewers should not compare products in a review.
Besides, if IGN really reviewed games in comparison to other products available on the platform, then they would not have rated Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 so highly. The 8-bit art style looks like crap compared to other available games.
You didn't really have to inch around. All you have to do is not rush, and pay attention to what is going on around you. I went through my first playthrough without much difficulty actually. It wasn't too hard, and it wasn't too easy. The second playthrough kicked my butt a few times and then I changed my tactics. I adapted to the situation. That is what the game is about. The third playthrough was not nearly as bad as the second though.
I think gamers are just to...
