I understand that using Kinect instead of a controller limits the possibilities of the game but there is still a lot of time in development for improvement. I think that we are going to have to wait until more videos are available to finally decide if it is a core or casual game. This is just my opinion.
I do not understand why people don't see the potential for this to be a core game. Fighting sith with a lightsaber and the force could be pretty f-ing cool. I have high hopes for this game because I am a big Star Wars fan.
I agree that the video did not show that many types of attack. The game is coming out next year (I think) so there is still a lot of time for improvement.
Just because it is on-rails does not mean it is not hardcore. If the controls are polished then Kinect Star Wars could be pretty fun. My only complaint with it is how it is "Prequel Star Wars" and not "Good Star Wars". Slicing droids could be quite fun and using the force will hopefully be cool. Just my opinion.
Interesting list. There are a few titles that I did not know about prior to reading. I am eager for more information about Blood Forge.
Only 2 feet away and it still works! Wow!
I am going to wait for a review also but if it works then I might end up buying a Kinect.
If it really reduces the space required by 40% then I think it is a fair deal.
Thanks for the reply.
The space requirement was one of the things keeping me from buying Kinect. I might buy one when the price drops.
Black And White 3 would be great.
An RTS game would be pretty cool with Kinect. Maybe Halo Wars 2?
The technology behind Kinect is actually pretty revolutionary. I do not own one but I have played it and it is an exciting experience. The games that I played we're mediocre so I am waiting for some games that can really show Kinect's full potential before I buy one.
I am excited to see some footage for Star Wars and Steel Battalion as well as the horror games.
Interesting article. I do not have a Kinect but if some high quality core games come out for it then I might get one.
I really enjoyed the trailer.
Good article. I agree with a fair amount of the predictions and I am now even more excited for Microsoft's press conference.
Well written article!
I agree with the points in this article. The sawed-off's firing radius is way too large and the pistol is way too weak. I really enjoyed the beta. It was some of the most fun multiplayer I played in a while.
As a budget gamer myself, I can relate to most of the points brought up in the article. I also understand why video game companies frown upon the used game market.
