I agree with you to a point. I thinklike what other pppl have stated that paying 63 (US) makes buyers more picky as to what they buy.

If I had a SOLID game lets say like Bioshock 2 that has a following from the first game.
And is not really a shooter in the way COD is. I would have released it THIS holiday 2009. It would have still sold becuase its a different experience.

I agree with what you said. I wont say FM3 is king as I havent played but the demo. But AFTER playing the demo I got very hyped for the full game.
What turned me of from GT is when I played FM1. To me that game had everything that the GT series was lacking.
Its like turn 10 added all the features that the GT series was missing.

As far as I know most if not all rebates take 6-8 weeks. Some like Staples are a little bit faster like 2-3 weeks. Actually staples is even better as they let you feel out the rebate right in the store!! So u avoid making mistakes etc.
Rebates are actually easy to do...fill out the info and make sure you send them what they ask for. Some will have a site you can check the status of your rebate like for my sprint cell!!
I am sure there are more that are faster but 6-8...

Its all subjective and up to the individual. You can make a list of what system has what ut at the end of the day...MOST wont be gettin every game for there system.

I have played the GT series up until GT3. I stopped playing the series after FM1 came out. I just felt at the time it added some features that GT was lacking..namely online and damage.
For me I play games for fun.

Now that I have a PS3 Slim this game is on my Radar. I already have a 360 so im gonna pickup FM3.
For me I want damage that effects the way your car performs. The visual is cool but like others have said. You cant really simulate it realistically or races would be over before they started.
One game that has good looking VISUAL car damage is GTA4!!

Im not even gonna read the review but I did take a peek at the score.
Is it me or if a game doesnt get a 9 or higher ppl view it as a weak game.
For me...I will only think the game sucks if it gets below 6 on a consistent basis.
Lets say you have 10 reviews. and half give it 8-9 the rest or a mix of 5-7 Usually that tells me that the game doesnt appeal to a large audience.

As long as it sells a few 100k maybe even 500k that should be enough to sustain a solid online community for it too last.
As much as I would like for the game to get MW2 sales. Its not gonna happen....but lets hope ENUFF ppl pick it up so it can sustain online play for awhile and also DLC of some sort.
Not sure how it would work unless it was more gametypes or online co-op missions.

Yeah I will be skipping MW2 and picking this up. This game from what I have been reading and viewing is much more to my liking.
Plus I have to be more strategic in what I buy this year, money is tighter. I went crazy last year around this time. I picked up like 6-7 games from Oct-Dec!!
Opflash next week. FM3 at the end of the month. And if I pick up this used PS3 tommorow for $200 I will pick up Uncharted 2. And some older used games for the PS3.

I picked up BF:BC when it was released..played the single player then never finished then didnt even go online with the game. WOW what a mistake.
I think the problem when it was released there was a few other top games out at the time that got my attention.

ME and you have a 360 and played the DEMO on our HDTVs and think the game looks fine. A definite upgrade over FM2.

They explained why they used the hi compression and why they are waiting to get real world numbers the make changes accordingly.
