@Nowitzki
THX for the tip
I never knew this site and others existed ..like Kinguin.
Wish I knew a week or so ago as I would have saved at least $30 on 2 games I purchased...one was $15 I could of gotten for $3. Another was $20 I could have gotten it for like $5.
I just purchased Outlast for $3 (never played it but heard good things) and GONE HOME $3 (short but good game (story)....glad I didnt pay regular price)
I can afford to buy whatever I want ...and like you i refuse to buy new hardware 3 years into this gen.
I feel that what Sony and MS are trying to do will have some long term negative effects on console gaming.
This gen more then any I can remember has been about Resolution and Frame Rate.
So much so that has it spurned this mid gen refresh??
I mean for Sony they are selling plenty of units...why upgrade? Is it because MS was going to do it first and they had to do something? Maybe we will find iut..maybe we wont.

@TFJWM
When I decided I wanted to build a PC the GTX 1080 and 1070 was in the forefront for PC gaming news.
I could have waited and made that purchase. But I figured for what I wanted to do a OC gtx 980 Ti (used btw) would serve me perfectly.
I could always sell it. And get a 1080 down the road.
I wanted to build my PC now for real. No regrets.
Im enjoying it so far.
Was exciting to build it and power up with only one issue (cpu power wasnt plugged in all the way)
I have a feeling I will have a hard time playing on consoles the more time im on PC games. We shall see.
I look forward to see what happens at E3!
I let me XBL expire this week and at the moment have no reason to buy another year.
Im enjoying learning about PC gaming....just finished Gone Home ///got it for like $3.00. And been wanting to play Insurgency. Paid $15 but could of gotten it for $3.00 also. No yearly fees to play MP!
I have overwatch on rent for XB1 but havent played it. Most likely will get it for PC $30-40 range.
I will sit back and see whats announced at E3.
Im surprised there isnt a backlash. For me it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that after soending $500 at launch...less then 3 years later new consoles are coming out!!??
MS abandoning Kinect already pissed me off as it was a wasted purchase. Now with a new console coming my XB1 to me at least will feel outdated even more.
So I just went forward and did what I was planning to do prior to buying a XB1 and that was build my first gaming PC. Spent around $140...
New hardware...after less then 3 years. I wont be buying in to WHATEVER sony or MS come out with. I went forward and built my first gaming rig. My XBL just expired and I honestly dont feel like renewing (Been 11 years strong with XBL)
Because its a FUN game and offers more then games for a similar price. Value for a game is subjective. The most bang for my buck has been BF4..I beat the SP and dumped 100s of hours into the MP. I have rented many many other games that boasted SP and MP or one or the other that I have sent back and would not pay $60 for....but im not going to write a article and tell others its not worth $60 for them.
I really liked the last one. One of the few games I have beaten on X1. I just built a PC so I may just buy it on Steam once they have it on sale.
If this is true....then itll be a few years before release based on PD track record.
The Battlefield 1
I think I might jump into PC gaming with this one. Was going to do it for BF4 but passed.
I just started playing myself and im liking the acting and the story.
Need to get used to the controls and powers. I just got the dash thing and being able to slow it down and shoot enemies.
There is some slight issues with graphics but nothing earth shattering and the story for me at least outweighs it.
Im a fan of all 3 actors so its cool to play as them and see where the story goes.
I feel if they can keep the story solid...
AND that is the POINT!!!!
You had ZERo intentions to ever get a XBOX one. So no money for HW or SW was going to MS from you.
NOW with MS games coming to PC ....you are now open to spending money on software from MS. That is money from you to them that would not have happened with this move.
As far as devaluing it. For you it (XBOX ONE) is already devalued because you own a GOOD gaming PC and several other consoles.
I was close to getting a gaming PC back in late 2013 but ended up getting a XB1
I may get one in the future.
I just dont see anyone who wants a XB1 not getting one and spending 2-3 times more for a gaming PC unless that was already in there mind.
Just an opinion.
As for the KB mouse. I remember playing DOOm or one of those FPS on dreamcast with a M KB for the first time. I hated it. But stuck with it and was astounded how mu...
I think people want to believe that this is the death of the XB1. These are the people who will take ANYTHING and twist it into there desire for one console to not exist.
So now they think that people are all the sudden going to scratch XB1 off there wish list and change it to gaming PC is ridiculous.
Im sure there are many who wanted a XB1 for there exclusives now can get them on there existing already owned PC and there are some that will indeed buy a gamin...
Your assuming that 1. they have a PC that is capable and 2. That the average person is going to shell out double or triple the cost to play XB1 games on PC.
and 3. That is an opinion ...about people buying consoles solely for exclusives.
take a look at the TOP sellers year in a year out...
COD
GTA
MADDEN
so on and so on.....MULTIPLATS!!
And that is EXACTLY what they (MS) want.
They know some will not buy a XB1 but they know that some will buy a solid game on there PCs.
I think the few who are upset just dont like the idea that games on there console of choice will be played by non XB1 owners.
Just a thought.
That sounds perfect. XCOM was one of the very few SP games I have beaten. Loved the story and the game set up.
