Silent Hill 1 and 2 deserve a 10, maybe a 9 at the least.
Silent Hill 3 was not that far of a drop off, 8 at the least. A 6/10 is harsh, and in no way shows a great authority of the genre.
I have played nearly every Survival Horror game available, and it is still one of the most memorable and haunting.
Silent Hill 3 is a fantastic game.
The industry has come a long way since then, and playing it now it does show some age, but it is still terrifying at points.
Just the soundtrack alone makes this game worthy of more than a 6, this reviewer has no grasp on this type of game.
This site needs to be banned, I haven't seen one competent article from them.

Yes, we really need a way to block certain sites from showing up in our feeds. If not at a user level, banning them from the site all together.

They aren't losing focus on the PC, they are just adding support for more broad uses of the PC.
You are still playing the game on the PC, it's just using a monitor in your living room and allowing you to sit on a couch instead of hunched in front of the desk.

Tried it on both the PS3 and 360, they both had weird stuttering. I was skipping the cut scenes however, so maybe it loads some during the cut scenes and had trouble catching up.
Did anyone else have issues in the demo with stuttering graphics? Especially when the Dragon comes down and when starting battles.

He thinks fans of that series want creativity? That's like thinking Madden fans want creativity. They just want new rosters, just like CoD fans just want new maps.
Oh, and here is an article from the associated press calling those three Kingdom Hearts games (Birth by Sleep, Coded, 358/2) spinoffs. I don't know what else you need. They may have a linking story, but that does not make them not a spinoff.

I never said the Star Wars prequels were spinoffs, I don't know where you got that. The prequels were full length studio releases. They are part of the main story.

It's a spinoff because it's on a totally different system with different game mechanics. Just like if Star Wars had a TV show or cartoon that was a prequel, it would be considered a spinoff.
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 are the main titles, everything else is a spinoff.
I would think people are just tired of not getting Kingdom Hearts 3. I guess all these spinoffs must sell well in Japan, but I could care less.
They should probably just preface these reviews as a current review of a retro game.
The game (When it came Out) was a testament to how great Survival Horror games could be.
If you didn't play the game in the timeframe when it was developed and released, it will not hold up exactly. If you review Pacman now, it may get a 4/10, but when it came out it was a 10/10.
