The next generation needs to be more powerful for sure target will no doubt be affordable 4K gaming for the masses so don't expect it anytime right now.
Myself personally make a console to update HDD and RAM in the future with warranties covered, strong CPU and GPU with overclocking at an ease for future use.
You can't keep updating every yead otherwise you'll just have a technical PC and recycled consoles getting disregarded which sounds like...
Honestly they need to stick to the original gameplay formula and then give it a modern day look with graphics
