ps3's architecture meant relearning pretty much everything devs have learned to do in the past.
So i agree, r1 was bland as bland can be. But it did its job. Gave them some experience so that when they set out to do r2, they could actually make a great game that flexes some muscle. It's great to see.

well the thing about reviews being subjective is that
one thing that might demerit a point from gears2's score might not be evident enough in r2 to warrant losing that point. Just as something that a reviewer might say hurt r2, might not have hurt gears2 nearly as bad.

dude, all xbox 360s come with wired headsets. Every single gamer is voice chat ready. Why bluetooth headsets? so it can be liek the ps3 where people are only now starting to get voice chat going in decent numbers? I love that the ps3 does the HQ bluetooth thing (OFFICIAL HEADSET ONLY iirc) but there are too few people who have one yet. $40 is a LOT to spend on a mic.
