limits my game playing on the ps3. fwiw i have smaller hands, it just bends your thumbs in a completely unnatural way. Resting position generally has your thumbs pointing more forward, rather than pointing sideways towards eachother as on the DS designs
i keep it more for movies. most of my gaming is done on 360, and this is one of the reasons
the old RE games were far scarier in my experience. The slow moving zombies gave the illusion that you have time, until you are overwhelmed. The "crappy camera angles" i thought added a very cinematic touch to the game. Made it feel more like an interactive movie.
There were WAY more puzzles and challenges. And some of them you actually had to think for.
I love RE4. I bought it on GC and Wii because it's just that amazing
gears2 on xbox, aside from resolution and AA restrictions looks FAR better than gears1 on pc. (lighting, textures, models, amount of stuff on screen, destructible cover) It's pretty easy to see. And their demos were running on 360 hardware. Only the promo screenshots were running on pc hardware.... it would suck blowing up a 720p image to use on a 50ft billboard.
all this "broken" gameplay sht. The matchmaking system is sad, yes.
But gameplay wise? it's like now all of a sudden people are blaming the fact that they completely suck at the game on the gameplay.
WTF if you're getting chainsawed too much, try watching your back. If you're letting people get close enough to chainsaw you, you're fair game. It is NO DIFFERENT than COD4's one hit kill melee attack, and in COD4 the attack has a FAR greater range and happen...
but people seem to quiiiickly forget JUST HOW MUCH that game got right. They really did a great job giving you the feeling like you owned the place. Could climb anything, go anywhere...and then they give you mounts?! what is cooler than breaking into a gallop and wingin your sword around or just bowling over unsuspecting troops and people carrying water jugs (they were probably evil somehow...)
a year (give or take) of development and they bust out R2????!@?! Whether you dig the game or not, a mere YEAR to pull of a game like R2 is nothing short of incredible
