THIS is very true. Anyone that complains that game journalism doesn't go deep enough or simply designed to be flamebait, I jut link them to the Fox News site to see how some REAL journalists act.

They use the reaction from gamers to articles that say games are sexist as proof that gamers are sexist.
It's been like that the whole time. That's the point of the article. To accept it for what it is, an excuse to show major trailers. That's it. Don't want it to be a serious show because they're not going to go it since they haven't done it yet.

Yup. I worked at Circuit City and Sony and MS reps would hang out in the game section (not at the same time) talking to customers. It wasn't every year, but a few.

I know plenty of movie buffs and none of them give a rats ass about the MTV Movie Awards. On the other hand, I know a lot of gamers, and plenty were bitching about the VGAs.

No it's not because you have to find the heart containers. Compare that to Zelda 2 where there's no finding of heart containers, you killed enemies until you gained a level. Saying heart containers make Zelda a RPG is like saying that after every boss in MGS where Snake increases his life, that makes it a RPG.

Zelda games are hardly "story-heavy", especially the first one.
The main reason why the Zelda series not considered a RPG series, for those that do play quite a bit of RPG games, is because it doesn't have a level up system. That's what console RPGs like Dragon Quest, Ultima, Final Fantasy, and Phantasy Star took from the pen-and-paper RPGs they were based from.

When you're Tea Party leaders are Glen Beck, Michelle Bachman, and Christine O'Donnell, you're lead by misinformed crazies. Also, there are Tea Party members that are at OWS that actually do have some standards rather than listen to what Bill O'Reilly says and accept it as the gospel.
You can say it's a rant on these guys who have grown in popularity with their blind bashing of gaming that is on par with the Tea Party's talking points against Obama. I REALLY wish people would stop harping over the 10/10 or 5/5 score. When I see a movie that has 4 out of 4 stars, I don't immediately think "OMG THIS IS THE GREAT MOVIES EVAR, IT'S A PIECE OF CINEMATIC HISTORY THAT WILL NEVER BE MATCHED AGAIN!!!11" or "HOW DARE THEY USE A 'PERFECT' SCORE! DO THEY NOT KNOW THAT THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT MOVIE!!! I'VE SEEN CITIZEN KANE, SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION AND THE GODFATHER AND THERE ARE FLAWS!!"
