Well better writing than a video game movie doesn't take much. But I did address it in the article. While I enjoyed the story mode, let's face it, it's a retelling of the first 3 MK games. That's part of the charm of the story mode because it a trip down memory lane with the game.
Funny enough, in the fighting game category of the AIAS awards, it is considered a fighting game.
It's about realizing what's important. In fighting games, it's the gameplay. That stands head and shoulders above everything else in the game. However, reviewers are treating fighting games like RPGs taking points off because it's a bad story. That's not important. Is it nice to have? Of course it is, but it's not needed.
The Fight Night series tried to add a storyline to their game. It wasn't bad but it wasn't needed because it was al...
Icing on the cake? Then you must have enjoyed bad icing for most of your life since most fighting game stories are fairly lame.
Oh my god, I'm an idiot - http://www.original-gamer.c...
This is true. I can see the headlines right now:
"Video game tournaments now allow porn to be given away as prizes to players."
From what LI Joe is saying, they're working on it.
LOL i know but watching the stream, I don't see any joking here. The Brazzers guy is also RT'ing all the people excited about the news.
Did this guy actually just NOW learn about Raptr? Is that why the urge to report it? WTF?
The story? Lazlow was just retelling what he went through.
I wonder if there was a trail of dead turtles in his research.
It's about knowing the industry. You may not care about who wins, but when this is something that is important to the people that make the games that you love, REALLY IMPORTANT, that should be taken into account for realizing the importance of these awards over your pretentious attitude.
@Snookies12
This is the 15th year they've done the awards. If you don't know it by now, then yeah you're not that knowledgeable.
For everyone else, if you don't care about awards that's fine but I'm detecting that you're full of it. Especially if you ever thought that gaming needs it's own Academy Awards yet don't know about these awards.
Nope, I'd figure that knowledgeable gamers would have heard of it. Guess you two don't count. :\
Because publishers don't have that much pull. Back when the music industry was terrified of DAT tapes, they were able to get a portion of DAT tape sales to even out what they may lose out on. Since publishers don't have any politicians in their pockets like movie and music industry does, they have to try other tactics that they believe will make a difference, but will only piss off customers.
Sigh, another article from a site that knows dick about fighting games. Hell even Harada mentioned about about doing a roster vote for the game on his Twitter - http://www.original-gamer.c...
How about you source properly next time - http://www.thebitbag.com/20...
The addition of "no class action lawsuit" is the true dick move of Sony's. EA did it too. Even with all the legal agreements we blindly agree too, the no class action lawsuit is a big deal.
Wouldn't it be best to wait for the game to be released first before calling them assholes?
Very true. This is not a game that deserves a 0 or 1 score.
