I understand where you guys are coming from, seeing as I own all 3 titles in question. Hellsing has one of the best characters with Arucard and Seras is vastly improved as a character later in the manga, but I'm not sure making a game for it would be easy. Blue Gender doesn't have the popularity to warrant making a game, like other mech shows such as Rahxephon, Fafner etc., it's popularity has seriously waned over time.

I realize that Gundam is phenomenally popular, however, ...

If you follow anime, Evangelion is one of the most popular and well known anime in the last 2 decades. Considering that 3 new movies are in various stages of release, this title is bigger than Hellsing and Bluegender combined. In fact, it would even rival a gundam game day 1 release.

Sometime the frustrating challenge in a game is what keeps gamers playing. If Demon Soul comes to N.A, count me in as one of those whipping boys willing to play it for the punishment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Wii hasn't killed core gaming, it's merely shifted gaming heavily towards the casual. Even at the expense of it's own core audience through lack of core Wii games, the Wii can't kill core gaming unless the PS3 and 360 completely stopped all productions of their games.

For those willing to look, the Wii does have core titles presently out with more arriving in the future. Those titles just happen to be glossed over by a mountain...

@scissor runner

I agree that there's a lot of shovelware on the PS1 and PS2, but there was also more core games to balance it out. Both PS1 and PS2 had something for everyone, from singstar to 2D fighters, RPG's etc.

The Wii is seriously lacking in several departments while having a high proportion of shovelware. I check games at EB games practically every week and I never fail to see a wall of casual games I don't want to play on the Wii.

Have to agree, Kingdom hearts 2 ended at a serious cliffhanger.

If GOW3 comes out in the same time frame, this title can kiss itself goodbye. If they release before or after GOW3, I'll take a serious look at the title in question.

Nintendo isn't killing core gaming, they're just expanding it to the casual gamer. As long as Nintendo has competition from Sony and MS, core gaming has nothing to worry about.

Not that I don't mind casual gaming with the nieces, but if core gaming ever took a backseat to casual gaming for Nintendo's competition, it'll be the day I truly give up gaming as a whole.

Until 360 games can match Uncharted which is 2 years old, while disregarding newer titles like Uncharted 2, GOW3, Heavy Rain, Infamous etc., this article is redundant and nothing more than a cheap excuse blaming middleware engines for 360's graphical shortfall.

Until SE brings out a title worth playing on home consoles, I'll reserve judgment on whether they're worth my time. I love the remakes and all, but I like everyone else, want a new IP to know SE still has some of that old magic they once had.

Well, this E3 can't be the worst IMO, considering how brutal the last one was.

Crap, why do the relatives I live with have only light service for internet. Oh right, they only need 30 kb/sec to check their e-mail ---> No streaming video for me (;_;). Hopefully some kind samaritan will take time away from E3 to give N4G, kotaku etc., some good timely updates.

As long as those several titles include Arc rise fantasia, Fragile and Sin and Punishment 2; I could care less about what shovelware comes with them.

Seriously though, is Iwata trying to be the master of the bloody obvious? His comments come off like saying that going into McDonald's, the staff will serve you a burger. Sheesh, this guy's has to put a bit of mystery into his words so we'd be at least curious what the games are.

Have you seen anything on the 360 (1st, 2nd or 3rd party) that looks better than Uncharted or has better physics than KZ2? How about the "potential" behind GOW3, Uncharted 2, Heay Rain, GT5, TeamIco project (Trico) etc.?

If your going to tell me that 360 can match that "potential", I'd like to see the titles to talk the talk and walk the walk, that's not just chatterbox heresy.

What the fudge are you talking about? Most LCD's and plasma's have PC inputs, hence people can use their TV's as monitors ---> translation: Anyone can play their PC games onto practically any size TV. My 32" LG TV has PC input. If you want to be anal, my friend has his PC hooked up to his projector that is 103" on his wall.

@Daishi

What are you talking about? I sold 360's at launch and I don't see the next xbox system being any less than $400. By then, the PS3 will be significantly cheaper.

Your forgetting that Sony always has multiple systems out at one time. At the end of one systems life cycle, begins another (e.g. PS2 and PS3), while Sony has ventured into the portable market with the PSP selling 50+ million units.

I'm thinking the next portable gaming marke...

About the only thing I notice about multi-platform games these days is how microscopic the differences there is between versions, which is exactly what 3rd party companies want to begin with.

I make you a bet that if the 360 version was put next to the PS3 version, even fanboys wouldn't see much difference. Who cares anyways, just get it for your system of choice and enjoy the game for what it's worth. Leave the fanboy wars for the exclusive games to each platform.

It's okay for your friend to lend you his copy, but he doesn't have the right to duplicate it for lending purposes or for profit. It is stealing even if you never intended to buy it.

What your saying is merely a technicality, like asking someone "If a tree fell in a forest and no one was around, did it make a sound? ---> the answer being yes it made a sound, but no one heard it". Just b/c you never intended to buy a game, doesn't mean you've done nothing wrong by...

Sales for PS3 1st party exclusives may lag behind some 360 1st party titles, but I'm willing to bet PS3 sells more units cumulatively that the 360 simply b/c Sony has more 1st party titles. By the reasoning of some, there must be pretty decent interest in Sony's 1st party title GT5, seeing as prologue has sold at least 3.3 million.

Besides, I think the article was referring to quality not quantity. Poor guys, nothing left to play but "sales". The whole Fallout 3 ...

Your own comment, makes you sound like a fanboy. I can understand your comment with regards to the harddrive, as I myself only have my 60 GB harddrive in my PS3, but the rest of your comments are going overboard.

I use my portable Western Digital (My Passport) harddrive all the time to play DivX files onto my TV via my PS3. My PS3 upconvert's all the normal DVD's I watch, while allowing me to stream movies from my PS3 to my PSP when I'm too lazy ...
